🇬🇧 In a Welsh sea cave 33,000 years ago... 🏴
A young man was buried by his people with red ochre and grave goods.
It is the oldest formal burial ever found in Western Europe. 🇬🇧🇪🇺
Goat's Hole cave sits high in a Welsh sea cliff on the Gower Peninsula. Above the sea, beneath the headland.
33,000 years ago, this coast looked nothing like it does today. The sea was lower. The land was colder. The Bristol Channel was mammoth steppe.
But the cave was already there.
A young man died. He was around 21 years old. Slender.
🕯️ And his people prepared him.
They wrapped him in cured hide. They covered him with red ochre — a pigment they used only for the dead. They placed grave goods beside him. A carved rod of mammoth ivory. Perforated wolf teeth. Periwinkle shells from the shore.
They did not bury him quickly. They did not bury him alone. They did not bury him without his things. They buried him with grief.
Time passed. The sea rose. The cliff stayed. And the young man slept.
In 1823, the Reverend William Buckland of Oxford found the bones. And got everything about them wrong.
He decided the bones belonged to a Roman-era prostitute.
He called the burial the 🍎Red Lady of Paviland🍎
He was wrong on three counts.
The bones were not Roman. They were Paleolithic.
The bones were not female. They were male.
And the bones were not a prostitute. They were a young man buried by his people with dignity and grief.
The people who buried him did not vanish. Their descendants moved across these islands as the climate changed.
They became Britons. Their descendants became the British. And the British still bury their dead with care.
🇬🇧 Dignity is one of the oldest things on these islands. And the people who feel it are still here.

The Red Lady is not a lady.
He is our oldest link to the world that made us.

@realRick_AUS If I go abroad I get insurance because it can financially ruin you to have a medical issue abroad. I also have private health insurance.

@WeimarWorlds I think Britain had indigenous travellers. When the Gypsies arrived the two groups began to intermarry. This would explain why British gypsies have a more indigenous look.

@LadyNadiaEssex Maybe the shade. It could’ve been a quieter more private location. He is tone deaf given the stabbing in children’s playgrounds and other unsavoury predatory behaviour that is going on.

@1776General_ Immigration shouldn’t come at the expense of a country’s sovereignty. I imagine that this is probably what some other groups want as well. Immigration shouldn’t be making the host population the underclass.

4,000+ followers. 140,000+ views on our first post.
In under 48 hours.
This is what happens when a community refuses to let a name be forgotten.
Every follow. Every repost. Every reply. Every person who took a moment to say Henry’s name out loud — thank you. Genuinely. You built this, not us.
But understand what this actually is: a start. Not a victory. Not a finish line. A start.
Sentencing is ahead. The IOPC investigation is just becoming public. The footage is still locked away. The Prime Minister still hasn’t said his name. Mainstream UK media is still silent. There is so much more work to do.
If you’re here, you’re part of it now. Keep posting. Keep sharing. Keep pushing every outlet, every politician, every account that should be covering this and isn’t. Don’t let it slip back into the noise.
Henry was 18. He deserves more than a news cycle. He deserves accountability. He deserves the truth fully out in the open. He deserves a country that doesn’t look away.
Let’s give him that.
Henry — forever 18. 🤍

@reddit_lies A senior technical role in my company was filled by an Indian because the manager was Indian. People simply go to the person who has the technical skill to answer their queries, bypassing the Indian guy. The union representatives told me about this. Mobilise the unions.

🇬🇧 There is a village in Orkney 🏴
It is OLDER than the PYRAMIDS.
Its stone furniture is still standing. A storm gave it back to us in 1850.
Its name is Skara Brae.
It sits on a curve of beach on Orkney. And it was built 5,000 years ago. By a people who farmed barley, kept cattle, and worked stone with the patience of a craftsman.
They had no metal.
And yet they built homes that have outlasted every empire since.
🏛️ Each home was made of stone. A hearth at the centre. A bed of stone slabs along each wall. A stone dresser facing the door. A drainage system carrying waste away from the walls.
What we would now call indoor plumbing.
5,000 years before it appeared in any English home.
Eight homes. Linked by stone passages.
They lived there for 600 years. Their children played at the doors. Their dressers carried the best of what they made.
The Grooved Ware they fired here would later be found from Orkney to the south coast.
Five centuries of one settled people.
Then the Earth changed. 🌍
The sand began to drift across the homes. A mother carried her child away from the only home she had known. The dunes closed over the village.
In 1850, a storm hit Orkney. The wind stripped the sand from the dunes. And one of the homes appeared again.
A village 5,000 years old, sitting in the open as if it had never left.
The people of Skara Brae did not vanish. They became Britons. Their descendants became the British.
And we are still building our homes around the hearth. Still arranging our shelves to face the door. Still carrying waste away from the walls.
5,000 years on, we are still living the same way they did.
🇬🇧 Civilisation did not come to Britain. Britons were already building it. And building it well.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
This village was buried for 4,000 years.
We nearly lost their own story.
Help us put British history where it cannot be lost again. 👇🙏

@HintHenry10538 @MichelleMaxwell Exactly, but as an adult you can learn the skills to manage toxic parents. I think parents should be the exception. My parents were abusive. Now they are elderly they are vulnerable and lonely. I would rather make the exception for my parents because they unconditionally love me.
English

@MarcusDruse @MichelleMaxwell What utter crap. No one has to put up with abuse.

@Guramitsingh01 @TRobinsonNewEra Kirpans are being used to harm people. It is not common but it is happening. Is the Sikh community going to police the individuals wearing them kirpan but not following the code to wear them?
