He was a good man. We don’t always agree with everyone’s political views, or they may have said something 15 years ago that rubs us the wrong way. But who of us hasn’t ever said something that came across as brash, arrogant or hypocritical, hurtful.
And people can change their original viewpoint on certain issues, just like we all have done.
He was a patriot, he cared deeply for his family, yes, to the point of adopting his young sister after their parents both died.
I just think it’s wrong to drag someone’s name in the days after they died. We don’t have to portray him as an angel or a saint. But we can be respectful, just like we would want others to be of our loved ones.
I have lived this personally. My husband died young, 11 years ago at 53 years old. It would have been devastated if I read hateful comments after he died.

I often criticized Lindsey Graham. But this weekend, I learned his full story: - Orphaned young, he adopted & raised his little sister instead of letting her go into the system. - Grew up dirt poor, racking balls in his parents’ pool hall. - In search of opportunity, he joined the Air Force. Served 33 years. Retired a Colonel. - Then spent decades in Congress, earning respect across the aisle. - Bashed Trump hard in ~2016, then respected the will of the voters, and grew to become a loyal ally. - Humble. Devoted to his constituents. - Driven by patriotism (even when misguided). Never in it for the money. Could've cashed in any time like most of his colleagues. - That Disney trip everyone mocked? Just a good uncle taking his beloved nieces. He smiled through (and ignored) the hate to protect his family. RIP to a self-made American original.

Note about my brother. He’s a U.S. Marine Vet, and has almost 20 years in law enforcement (I think, I would ask, but I don’t want him to ask questions 🤣).

@X I got a message from a friend on here that someone that is impersonating me contacted them. He knew it wasn’t me but pretended like he thought it was and said he wanted to send me money. This person provided a name and address in Wisconsin, what should I do? Anyone have any ideas?

It's been a great night.
First my son's soccer team that I help coach won the state championship.
Next, I received amazing gifts from all of the parents.
Third, we went out to celebrate and they bought us dinner and drinks.
Finally, my son told me he was proud of me for being a great coach.
I think that last one really hit me.

I just spoke about God in a professional meeting for the first time in my entire life.
The man on the other end, a young father who looked pleasantly surprised to hear that word and the others that followed out of my mouth.
It still feels awkward, but God is calling me to speak

It hit me today just how deeply unhappy I am. Yet every day I keep moving forward, counting my blessings and focusing on what I'm grateful for, even while trying to ignore the darkness that surrounds me. I am choosing to keep going despite everything.

Today was a horrible day for me. I got off at 0500. Went to bed. At 9:40 I received the call no mother wants to receive. My 25 y/o son was on the way to the hospital with suicidal ideation.
Please pray he finds peace and we can get him the help he needs!!
