@hartmaths Third time becomes an hour after-school catch up session - although most call it sparx detention! If they have completed top 2 hws to 100% during the session (or before), they can leave when finished.

@hartmaths Sparx Hw - first 2 missed Hw is teacher detention - how long is at the teachers discretion to deter repeated incidents and allow explanation of any issues. I normally only do 5 minutes to cause a disruption to their day. Logged on bromcom so parents have a record.

What happens at your school when a student doesn’t do their homework? Interested to hear about recording it/contact home/actually getting the work done etc. Any responses appreciated!

@adamboxer1 Maths teacher by trade, picked up a French class this year. I use call and response for first attempt at speaking so they don't feel so self-concious about how they are saying something! I agree whiteboards are better 99% of the time - but I enjoy call and response too!

@MrDCowling @mathsjem @StudyMaths @hkettlemaths Ocr has many more marks - 300 vs 240 for any other board. As such, scatter graphs have more available marks. Best advice I've had, was to work from gcsemathsbyquestions as you could see exactly the type of questions in each exam board.

Maths CPD help needed. I’m running some training on the differences between Edexcel and other exam boards. Content differences are available online but I’m looking for the nuances like changes in language/question style etc. RT’s appreciated. @mathsjem @StudyMaths @hkettlemaths

@adamboxer1 Does anyone know if all the Eden schools are the same trust? And lots of single sex schools - more than average I would guess?

It's progress 8 day! On the left, schools with over 30% pupil premium, ranked by the P8 of their pupil premium students. On the right, a chart showing the overall effect of increasing PP numbers on a school's P8. Firm takes are hard to make, but it's pretty striking.

@DeputyGrocott Me neither... or half-term. Awake at 6am. At least we have half-term to sort our body clocks - I hate it when they change on a non-holdiday weekend!
