Okay, so there was ONE other thing I wanted to scan in that Dragon Ball Special Issue: This is one of my favourite OG DB illustrations! I'm such a sucker for cross-sections, and I was never super happy with the quality of the ones I found online.

I’m not retyping my Instagram rant but I’m very tired of visible crafts being able to discuss these things and receiving the support while the whole of the CG craft suffers in silence. Our ‘supervisor’-level TD1s (56.38) have a lower minimum than entry-level board artist (61.12)

Yup, lots of animation folks have been struggling too, myself included. I rolled off my last job last October and haven’t been able to find more board work. Other resources have dried up. I try to keep things light on here but it’s honestly felt so bleak lately…

@B_Hay Working with you on Dawn of the Croods remains a career highlight for me. It was one of the most open and collaborative productions I've been on. We on the board team got very comfortable pitching new/unexpected ideas to the room :)
