its important to know what is happening inside iran and what they are saying. we can not let iran win long term, but right now we are not winning long term. the fact is that .... they still have a navy, 5 ships are in india, and about 1000 IRGC small boats are still out there in hiding. they still have a airforce, its flying. they still have a huge army. they are still pumping and sending oil via pipelines. traid with russia and china is booming in the north. no one is starving. its estimated that the US has killed hundreds to thousands (700-2000) of civilians so far turning many against us. and yes the government killed 10s of thousands. but they killed the ones that were in the uprising. we are killing people driving near targets or at girls schools. that plays differently. there have been no reported large uprisings in the last month. the few small attacks have been on police and not military targets backfiring on any anti government movement. its important to understand that they can lose EVERYTHING in that part of the world, as long as they have a smoking pile of bricks with a Iranian flag on top they win. thats just the way that part of the world works. look at Afghanistan. what we are doing right now is not working long term, yes the military action has been great at a great cost. but long term they are winning right now. its not helping that trump has stated that we are leaving the gulf if things dont change. he has said many times we are just going to pull out. this tells iran they are about to win, and tells others in the area we can not be trusted. we need to change if we want to win. facts are facts
