Hamas is a terrorist organization.
They will kill as many Israelis as possible if they can. They can also kill Palestinians if it helps them achieve their goals.
However, Israel is a democratic state and cannot act like Hamas. It must abide by international law and cannot commit war crimes. Israel must act responsibly. While guaranteeing its own security, it also has to think about stability in the region. It has to reduce the climate of hatred and bring peace. It has to, because there is no other country that can do this except Israel.
It is also a matter of proportionality.
A war against Palestinians, in which over 30,000 Palestinian civilians (over 17,000 Palestinian children) have been killed since October 7, is not proportionate.
Netanyahu should not forget that children did not start this war!
I would like to thank Mr. Macron for clearly showing Netanyahu the limits.
