Even though the win tonight gave me joy, it doesn’t hit like the crack of a late Premier League winner. I want that title. I wanted to beat Sporting mainly to give us momentum for Bournemouth. Priorities (for me): 1. League 2. League 3. League

Well,that result should shut a few people up, including some of ours. Brilliant goal and superb play by Havertz & Martinelli, but Declan Rice and David Raya were both simply sensational. Sets us up nicely for the massive league game on Saturday. I just cannot wait #Arsenal #AFC

As the dust settles after yesterday’s debacle, I can honestly say the one trophy I have wanted & craved for this season, is the League title. Anything else that came our way would have been a bonus. Bournemouth next weekend is massive, huge. Simply a must win game #Arsenal #afc

Unfortunately, there are similarities between yesterday & the 2018 League Cup Final. In both games against City we had early clear cut chances to take the lead and didn’t take them. Aubameyang in 2018 & Havertz/Saka yesterday. Then mistakes by Mustafi/Kepa led to goals. #afc

As for the goalkeeper situation, we had a discussion in the pub beforehand & all agreed that possibly the “right thing” to do was play Kepa, but if you wanted to be ruthless & play your best team, it was Raya all day long. Especially when you haven’t won for 6 years .. #Arsenal

On the train home. Annoyed, gutted, fed up & any other description you want to use. That’s 4 League Cup Finals we’ve lost on the trot. Apart from the obvious disappointment at losing, it’s the fact we’ve now got to put up with weeks of negative media attention. Ouch! #Arsenal

@Supermacs_knee @MickCoppock Safety achieved by a 2-1 home victory v Wolves at Easter. The 3 final games of the season went to script, 3 defeats v Ipswich, QPR & Man City. Hope arrived a few months later with SuoerMac & Manager Terry Neill.

I remember this classic game and I was there. Relegation was a real threat that season and this was a real “Four Pointer” as we headed into the remaining games. Kidd, Rimmer and Mancini saved us that season. #Arsenal #AFC
