First Amendment: 3 Colorado: 0

I was asked about Justice Jackson’s dissent in Chiles v. Salazar. I didn’t hold back. Government does NOT get to force its preferred ideology on everyone—especially when it comes to “transitioning” kids.

COUNSELING FREEDOM WINS AT SCOTUS! The Supreme Court has just ruled 8-1 for @ADFLegal client Kaley Chiles, who challenged Colorado’s counseling ban. States may not censor commonsense counseling that seeks to help kids with gender dysphoria accept their bodies.

As I explained on @MorningWire, the outcome of Watson v. RNC will hinge on the meaning of two words: “Election Day.”

Excellent move by @BlackRock: ending religious discrimination in its employee gift-match program. As @NoahRNash writes in @townhallcom, this didn’t happen by accident—it followed substantive engagement with @ADFLegal and conservative shareholders pushing for common-sense reform. Too many companies have let far-left groups like the SPLC distort charitable giving through third-party administrators like Benevity. BlackRock chose a better path. Every company should follow this example. townhall.com/columnists/noa…

What a fantastic moment in Iowa... years in the making. Conscience protections for healthcare professionals are just a governor's signature away from becoming a reality!

BREAKING: We won 9-0 today at the U.S. Supreme Court on behalf of our client Gabe Olivier who was arrested for sharing the Gospel in a public park in Brandon, Mississippi. Because of today’s victory, Gabe can now have his day in court and challenge the ordinance that led to his arrest. In today’s opinion, Justice Kagan wrote that Olivier is free, “to sue under §1983 to enjoin future prosecutions under the city ordinance, despite his prior conviction.” To hold otherwise would place Olivier in a “dilemma,” he would have to either “flout the law and risk another prosecution, or else forego speech he believes is constitutionally protected.” “This is not only a win for the right to share your faith in public, but also a win for every American’s right to have their day in court when their First Amendment rights are violated.” – Kelly Shackelford, President & CEO of First Liberty
