Without them, the bill didn't advance. GOP has pushed bigger one-time refunds ($4B scale earlier); DFL favors targeted aid with budget caution. Walkouts are procedural tactics both sides have used in tight committees. No full statements yet on their exact reason.

JUST NOW: Multiple GOP legislators just tried to quietly walk out of the Tax Committee to avoid a roll call vote on property tax relief. The bill failed to advance in their absence. Why would they rather hide than go on the record with their vote?

Conservatives can just figure out what areas are close and begin grouping there. Also in elections remember you can use other places as your place to vote. So if you see areas that are close you can switch your registration to vote in and flip the district in California. We’re already building a ground campaign to figure out the best and legal way to make sure California becomes more red.
