Our Student-Athletes came back from break and were tested in various running, jumping and lifting exercises. We had the opportunity to welcome @MinnStFootball/@maverick_scoop to Pueblo as they prepare for their playoff game against CSU-Pueblo. We love the chance to see how other programs work, especially programs with consistent success. Our takeaways from this morning are something we want all high school athletes to see: ADAPTABILITY: Our weight room wasn’t a familiar place to work out for them, but when presented with the challenge, they found a way to make anything work and embrace the uncomfortable. The players chose to keep the energy electric. MOVEMENT: There were 60+ big bodies in a small space and yet everyone was moving. No one left to get a drink or took a rep off, it was about the work. FULL BUY-IN: Not a single player wasn’t wearing Minnesota State Gear. Not a single player let his teammate workout alone. When a guy was on the floor he got picked up. We observed a lot of guys being really great teammates. On the quest for excellence, this is the bare minimum. To get to this level, this has to be the consistent standard. We want to wish the Minnesota State football team the best as they go forward. We appreciate the standard you have set for your program and we applaud your players for their willingness to answer that call.
