You learned strategies to be able to interact socially, this is what everyone does - it’s a skill, it takes practice, trial and error. Very rare for someone to perform flawlessly on their first try.

I tried that, didn't work out for me.
I had to create an entirely new persona just so people are more likely to appreciate me.
