Okay, my #vccc2024 machine of choice is my PET 2001. I'm already making progress. One rule is that you can't show the code until it's over. So all I can do is show the shape drawn without getting in trouble ;-) No way to capture on my PET (is there an easy way?) so reflections on the CRT are the way for now ;-)

Is there a @YouTubeLiaison or a human at @TeamYouTube that can look into this? His channel did not violate the guidelines specified in the complaint. His channel provides reviews and opinionated commentary on old computer games. No spam, deceptive practices, or abuse.

@AlsGeekLab Original KQ was actually the third adventure of theirs I'd played (priors were wizard and princess, time zone, both on Apple ii) and 3 middling experiences soured me on the whole thing. I still played and own plenty of Sierra games, but mostly not their agi or sci adventures.

@MobyGamer They were sometimes annoying, the original KQ was bad, but they fixed up later games. I enjoyed SQ2, SQ2, leisure suit Larry, Police quest and others

When I saw the text mode SCI & AGI sierra game drivers as shown by the space quest historian, I immediately thought.. "I bet @MobyGamer could make a driver that would make this stuff look solid! youtu.be/4zMif0s8f8g?si…

@AlsGeekLab I have finished a few AGI games, but I feel they were novel only in a time period without more compelling alternatives.

@AlsGeekLab Also, the movable avatar system never made sense to me. Couldn't interact with an object unless you were near it, but you couldn't type "move closer to (object)" to fix. Also led to frustrating navigation, like diagonal stairs that didn't align with Grahame's diagonal movement.

Last night was the opening for the new Insert Coin exhibit. The amazing people at @CarneyCleve and @chigamespace did an amazing job creating a physical journey of our film. This runs through Feb 16, 2025 and you have to see it for yourself.

I watched 51 horror movies this October: trixter.oldskool.org/2024/10/28/oct… The biggest surprise was A Cold Night's Death (1973) where Robert Culp and Eli Wallach try to figure out what killed everybody at a remote arctic research station. Originally a made-for-TV movie but rose above that.

@premiere_gal Why do you hire outside editors? I apologize for sounding confrontational, but it's a genuine question. I understand cost-effective decisions keep time/production costs down... but your channel centers around video editing itself. It seems odd to not edit your own editing videos.
