I am presenting at the Science and Art Minisymposium at #CellBio2025 today! The line up is great this year. I am hands down the least qualified person presenting. It is a weird feeling but I am excited! Here is my title slide.

@_OmQu Great question. The process is SOOPER fast; kinetically limited by how quickly filaments slide past each other. Might be hard to make it go significantly faster

Interesting...the virome of the last eukaryotic common ancestor is bacterial, not archaeal. nature.com/articles/s4156… This may be evidence that a bacteria engulfed an ASGARD archaea, rendering it immune from viruses, not the other way around as is typically assumed. Cool!
