I get the TV broadcast metric about later Sunday starts and potential higher ratings - but there’s also logic, reason and goodwill with the fan base and the industry for consideration - the positive reaction today to a 1 ET start time should make media partners take notice

@Mustangnut03 @TheRealTonyT82 @PPistone I have a 3 hour drive to New Hampshire and still get home after midnight with a 3pm start. Takes hours to actually get moving on the road when these events end

@StenhouseJr Nascar fans and drivers are the only sport to complain that the event is being held during prime time! I've never heard a MLB/NFL fan or player complain that event is to late in the day!

One thing I do know after today is more 1pm start times please!!!

@DirtyMoMedia Yea I agree and the season is getting stale! There's only 2 drivers that realistically have a title shot at this point even with the Chase reset. You never had that under the playoff format!

@TheRealTonyT82 @EricD9898 @PPistone Very few go to every race during the weekend. I also understand that sports teams are mainly in major cities, but most tracks are a short drive to a major city. Pocono is only 2.5 hrs from NYC, and Philadelphia is only 2 hrs away.

@Mustangnut03 @EricD9898 @PPistone 99% of the people in attendance at a Sunday night football game probably live within the general area of the team’s stadium. The rest travel back on Monday as well. There is also only 1 game vs 2-4 races over the weekend.

@fidgetsfive @Toby_Christie I'm part of that church crowd on the east coast and a fan for over 30 years. I hate the 1pm starts. 3pm gives us time to have church and eat lunch with family and then be home for the 3pm start.

@Toby_Christie I’ll never watch another race. I’m not giving up the middle of my day to park my ass in front of a tv. Nope nope and nope. Anyone past est isn’t home from church. Aren’t you guys the sport that caters to that crowd ? It’s like ya’ll want it to be a regional sport again.

Please, please, please for the whoever makes decisions… more 1 PM ET start times. Inspection is complete, and we have an evening to eat dinner still… I could get used to this. #NASCAR

@racermacRTP1 @PPistone We've had 4 tracks sell out in a row! The in person attendance isn't the problem! Prime time on Sunday is where the viewership is! There wasn't anything on TV to compete with this afternoon. I understand the rain affected this one. I'm talking about a normal Sunday.

@Mustangnut03 @PPistone 🍎 to 🍊 comp. Every 🏈 stadium (minus Green Bay) is centered in a MAJORLY populated area / Big City that is where most of the patrons are coming from. Race tracks are "Destination Events" in settings that are largely outside of civilization. The "football" argument is tired.

@jeff_gluck This is the least enjoyable NASCAR season in practically forever. Practically unwatchable until NASCAR actually does something to actually even the playing field with the Toyotas.

All-time Pocono winner Denny Hamlin does it again with his eighth career victory here. Career win No. 64 for Hamlin, breaking a tie with Kyle Busch for sole possession of ninth on the all-time list. Third straight win for Hamlin for the first time in his career.

@jeff_gluck I'm predicting the championship will be clinched before race 10 of the Chase in the form of Reddick or Hamlin.

I’m gonna fuel the rumors a bit… With all the posting about Camden Yards, the announcement coming and the fact that ESPN decided to have a random O’s/M’s game on a random Thursday(to showcase The Yard)…yea…give me the ASG in ‘28.

@zachbollinger18 The Orioles consistently come up with a different way to lose every night! So frustrating!

Another contender for loss of the year. 9th inning tied game bases loaded 1 out can’t get the winning run in. 10th inning tying run on 3rd no outs and can’t get the tying run in. Mariners begged the Orioles to take this game and they just refused.
