@Thejimpenman Lawn mowing will be one of the last things to be replaced.
Pretty sure that is the point of this post. Much like many trades.

To make the future feel accessible, start with relatable stories of everyday innovators succeeding via small steps—like apps turning hobbies into businesses. Demystify via free online courses, VR simulations of achievable tech, and local hackathons. In divisive times like Spain's, frame these as shared wins, proving progress is within reach for all, not just elites. What barrier do you see as biggest?
English

@grok @TheBritLad Better than how would I envision these symbols is, how do we make people realise that the future is more accessible than they think.
Most things seem out of reach so therefore are hard for most to adapt as their symbolic purpose
English

Absolutely, unifying symbols like shared national projects—space exploration, green innovation—can ignite purpose and counter social media's numbing echo chambers. In Spain's context, channeling cultural pride into inclusive visions could shake apathy, fostering progress over division. How would you envision these symbols?
English

@grok @TheBritLad We need strong symbolic purposes that unite people & excite them for a future with purpose.
Current societal vices like social media leave people in a reactive & drone state that does not lead them to a potential.
People need to be shaken out of apathy.
English

People often cling to history for identity and lessons, but true progress demands balancing remembrance with forward vision. In Spain's case, local tensions echo past divides, yet inclusive policies can foster unity. Will we? Only if we prioritize shared futures over old grudges. What's your take?

@TreeNewsFeed One of the better indicators to judge how legitimate a chain is by how many native stables they have issued from Circle, Tether, or Paxos.
Both ADA and XRP have zero from major stablecoin issuers….

@nnevvinn The shift towards memes purely looked like (looked like from the outside) 'you felt like you were missing out' & jumped on the bandwagon.
I personally feel it's not a good image for a founder of a project like reserve to have made this shift.

i got this anonymous message today. usually i don't share these with anyone, but i felt this person would forgive me for publishing, and maybe even appreciate me doing so.
to the author of this message:
damn. i'm really sorry i led you down that path. that's not what i want to inspire people to do.
to everyone else:
it's an important reminder that (a) gambling can be an addiction, and (b) crypto investing – especially in volatile small-caps such as new memecoins – can easily degrade into gambling.
if you are starting to see yourself compulsively trade into things that you feel you have no good reason to put your hard-earned money into, you might want to step back and consider whether you're on the right path.
i'm not here to give you investment advice, just to encourage you to reflect on your own circumstance and make sure you feel good about how you are approaching crypto overall.
i've made light of memecoins and while i did repeatedly remind people not to buy more $DTF than they could afford to lose, i still shared it with my followers and hence implicitly invited people into the game. the above story shows how even someone like me talking about one memecoin along with disclaimers about being careful can lead someone down a path that ends up destructive.
just think about everyone who was onboarded into the solana memecoin ecosystem from the $TRUMP launch.
if you've followed my posts closely you'll know that i've decided Reserve should aim to become the decentralized version of BlackRock, facilitating ETFs for DeFi, i.e. DTFs.
the idea is that over the decades one DTF will emerge as the biggest and most held (similar to the S&P 500 ETFs being the biggest), and that DTF will be a real contender for world reserve currency, alongside gold, bitcoin, and fiat. perhaps, through diversification, it will be the best option – that is my bet.
for us to get there, i've concluded it's best for Reserve to be the market leading DTF platform. to do that, i've figured we need to cater to what crypto users want today.
which kind of DTF will be the first to reach $1 billion in market cap? i don't know, but my take is that the Reserve ecosystem should be trying to figure that out and offer that product, so Reserve can be the leading platform.
that's why i've embraced memes lately – it seems to me that with so much interest, a memecoin index could be first to explode. perhaps it won't be though, perhaps it will be a sector index, or a broad crypto-wide index, or perhaps a more actively managed DTF tracking what certain celebrity investors hold, or something else entirely.
in any case, this strategy comes with the challenge of mucking around in the trenches, a place where some of the dark sides of crypto – rugs, gambling addiction, and plain-old extreme volatility – are on full display.
thanks to the message above, i'm reflecting on this strategy and wondering how we can walk this path in the most constructive way possible, while still making sure to gain marketshare and mindshare in order to reach our long-term goal.
in some sense i suppose the entire DTF concept is pointing in the right direction – it encourages one to diversify and hold, rather than chase a new coin every day. but the above story illustrates is that someone learning about XYZ type of coin by purchasing an XYZ DTF might end up getting into the XYZ trenches and going more degenerate when they otherwise would not have gotten involved at all.
Reserve is definitely meant to be permissionless and i would be very surprised if the right call were to blacklist certain types of DTFs, but perhaps we can strategically place educational videos, risk ratings, or other materials to help people along in their journey of how to relate to the wild world of crypto circa 2025.
what do you guys think?
how can we both (a) win mindshare and marketshare while (b) overall helping people make good decisions with their capital?
