One of the most fundamental things friends (with the best intentions) misunderstand about grief is it's not like illness or an injury. You don't 'fix' it or try to reverse the process. You have to manage it and support the process. It is almost a separate entity to the person and they can no more control it than they can control ageing.

@Emma_Campaigner Oh us too Emma... The same way we pay loads of tax (variation, not the amount) for loads of services we may never use. But we do it because it's the hallmark of a decent society. That we're all in this together. Privatisation never makes things better for the must vulnerable

What do @Oxfam @macmillancancer @Shelter @barnardos and @crisis_uk have in common? They're all huge charities. But, they ALL started off as micro charities. Less then 5 people 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Little to no funding 🪙 No benefactors 🧐 No friends in high places 🏛️ NEVER lose the belief YOUR charity can do big things!
