I cannot thank the @samaritans enough, with how much they helped me this evening. I reached breaking point and as well as emailing them, I also had the courage to phone them again this evening. Just speaking to someone at the other end of the phone, I knew I wasn’t alone 💚

A simple conversation could help save someone’s life. If you spot someone who doesn’t look OK. Small, soft questions can be a gentle way in - they interrupt the cycle of thoughts and help someone shift a little inside and engage with the world outside of their thoughts

I'm just out for a walk and a complete bonny stranger asked me how I was. Normally I say I'm okay. I broke down 💔😥 I got a hug and I cried properly for the first time since my friends passing. I needed that. @samaritans thank you for all that your teams do. #vss365 #bonny

Just phoned @samaritans as feeling really low with my MH. I was able to say how I felt and what thoughts I was having and I don’t normally make phone calls to them, so picking up the phone to call them, was a very big step for me. I was not alone. A big thank you @samaritans 💚

@samaritans Celia Walden article in the telegraph saying those who have God should not need help for their MH as triggered me. As a Priest I now feel ashamed of having gone on MEDs even though MEDs saved my life. Now contemplating coming off cos of her article which was cruel.
