#NIC2024 @Bayer4Crops_SA Meintjes: You don't do the right thing to tell everyone about it. You do it because it's the right thing to do. Rural areas need to be strong for farmers to do well. Farmers need to be profitable for us to be sustainable. We help to make it possible.

#NIC2024 @Engen_SA Emeran: We helped a 10-year old with a passion for farming and who wanted to reduce hunger. He started a park for children to experience farm life. They started growing veggies. You can start helping small, but the benefits will grow big.

#NIC2024 @JohnDeereAME Gouws: JD started something small a year ago at Nampo with Vrystaat Landboukollege. We gave them 1 tractor and 1 planter and it made a huge difference to them. In the Eastern Cape we partnered with @SENWES. We only educated 2 brothers. Nothing else.

@Bayer4Crops_SA Meintjes: Bayer is involved in education and want to create the space to develop the youth. We are passionate about the youth because they are the future. We want the good students to come to agriculture and want to make it "sexy" to them again. #Nampo24

#NIC2024 Lesele @Nedbank: Make an impact that is sustainable. We try to impact the communities where we are involved. We do not only finance, but also partner with someone to walk the road with him to make it possible for him to serve the purpose he wants to.

#NIC2024 @Nedbank Lesele: We do programmes through partnerships and referring to our agricultural programmes, we partnered with PALS. Communities got hope and purpouse through this. We also have a Green Agri Premium programme, where 20 learners are educated and mentored.

#NIC2024 @SENWES @strydom_strydom Make a distinction between the driver of the problem and the consequence of the problem. We do not have an electricity problem, we have a leadership problem. Good leaders will automatically sort out problems.

#NIC2024 Emeran @Engen_SA We are trying to fill the gap in education. We have a Maths and science school programme in rural areas for under priviledged.

#NIC2024 @SENWES @strydom_strydom First: If you don't have hope, stay in bed. Second: We need to have hope. We need to be better than yesterday, because we are supposed to have more experience.

#NIC2024 @JohnDeere Stephan Gouws: Companies need to start linking to start having a bigger impact in the community. There is a gap, but also a big opportunity.
