Horrifying. This stands in complete contradiction to what Nag Panchami truly represents. Crowds marching with #snakes held up on sticks, gripped and passed around like props. They are scared, motionless, and stripped of all dignity. This is not reverence, in any form. On a day meant to honour and protect these sacred beings, what we are witnessing is the very opposite: a display of fear, ignorance, and cruelty. #NagPanchami was never meant to look like this. Strict action must be taken against not just those harming snakes, but also those who dare to insult what Lord Shiva holds sacred.

Every year, thousands of foreign tourists used to take this Hunting trip to India as they do with poor African nations. Animals could be killed, anyone could enter the forest and shoot. Tigers, Leopards, Elephants were collected as trophies. You would not believe but there was a huge market in Delhi for tiger skin and body parts! It was that normal. 1/
