udayavani.com/karnataka/fore… #Kudremukh #Fires It's very unfortunate to see the beautiful shola ecosystem being ravaged by fires. Most of the fires in India are caused due to humans, the people living inside Kudremukh have agreed to voluntary relocate outside. Hope this is done ASAP.

@krish_bohra Such visionaries laid the foundation to today's conservation, but unfortunately such people have become a RET species now.

Project Tiger turns 53 today. A day to stop and look back. On the highs and lows. I really admire this photograph of them launching it at the Corbett National Park in 1973. 🐅🐅🐅

Happy Birthday, Project Tiger. On this day, 52 years ago, India embarked upon a remarkably ambitious journey. In a world where hunting was norm and tiger was trophy, with a mere 1827 individuals left, people dared to dream of saving them. May the stripes continue to prosper. 🐅

Forest Department officials on Monday captured a sloth bear that had been roaming in villages around Shivamogga airport. The animal had a GPS radio collar around its neck. The female sloth bear, aged around eight, was initially spotted on Sunday evening near Lakkavalli range in Tarikere taluk of Chikkamagaluru district. B.M. Ravindra Kumar, Deputy Conservator of Forests of Bhadravati, told The Hindu that the animal would be shifted to a zoo after consulting senior officials of the department. 📸 S.K. share.google/Gv2wLYpsOE9YwR#LandAcquisition #BhadraTR There was a great opportunity to acquire land in and around @TigerBhadra which would have prevented such issues. @aranya_kfd @eshwar_khandre @TheWesternGhat @ntca_india

deccanherald.com/india/karnatak… There was this great opportunity to add 4,430 acres to @TigerBhadra which was wasted due to politics. If this land can be acquired then it will be a huge win for #BhadraTR @ntca_india @wildcat_ckm @cksaysso @tejus_rs @TheWesternGhat @CafeCoffeeDay
