Almost every day I have people in my replies calling Democrats "Bolsheviks" or "commies" or "Marxists," and on those occasions I correct them, I often get ratiod in my own replies. Basically everything the right accuses the left of, they do themselves. The fact they can't see it tells you what a brain poison partisanship is.

@doc_gero Not just Trump. The democrats are calling for the death of all Republican leaders. The cheered for the death of Kirk and continuously try to assassinated the President.

I live in a dark blue state, and I know I shouldn’t be shocked, but I was in mixed company with casual acquaintances, and one of them made a comment about “what happened Saturday“ and expressed disappointment… At first I didn’t realize what they were talking about, but then the person repeated it and then a couple other people in the group nodded approvingly and made approving comments, and I realized that it’s actually an extremely mainstream view amongst Democrats that Donald Trump should be assassinated and killed

Are we really doing this again? Of course we are. Under the first amendment, the White House may not pressure ABC to fire a comedian because of his jokes. Melania is entitled to her opinion, of course, but unfortunately, this administration has shown itself more than willing to pursue their enemies for their speech.

Doesn't matter whether you approve of the joke or despise it: It's extremely inappropriate for the president of the United States to pressure private companies to fire comedians who mock him. The Right would've (rightly) melted down if Obama or Biden had ever done this.

My family and I watched the 60 Minutes interview with Donald Trump and Norah O’Donnell last night, and we were shocked. Seeing a president speak to a woman journalist with that level of contempt — and a clear allergy to facts — is disturbing, though at this point not unexpected given his pattern of behavior. But that is the problem. Because when that level of disrespect from the highest office in the country repeats itself, it starts to trickle down into our culture and define what power looks like, shaping how boys and plenty of men see women and girls and what they come to accept as normal behavior.

@ColinSamul Find the right school if you can. My daughter's school is almost all conservatives. It is a Christian school and there is a few liberal teachers. If something does not line up with Christian values, it is addressed immediately.

I hate to admit it, but he’s right. I live in a small town. MAGA country. Our younger kids attended a k-8 Christian school. Our older kids went to the public school. The school board members are all Christian and were mostly elected on a post 2020, anti-woke, anti-trans platform. That was very reassuring to learn. But the teachers are all educated in the university system. My oldest daughter said it was like a funeral the day after the election in 2024. My youngest daughter couldn’t take the subtle propaganda anymore so we homeschool now.

Europe isn’t scared. Europe is patient. There’s a difference, and it’s the kind of difference that ends civilisations. One country. One lunatic with a moustache and a grudge. That’s all it took to set the entire continent on fire in 1939. And when that happened, the combined industrial might of the Soviet Union and the United States spent years just getting a foothold. Years. Against one country that had gone off the rails. Now imagine what happens when the whole continent with 700 million people decides it’s had enough. This isn’t a collection of soy latte-sipping bureaucrats who’ve gone soft from too many open borders and bicycle lanes. This is a landmass that produced the Roman legions, the Mongol counter-strikes, the Napoleonic wars, two world wars, and enough military doctrine to fill a library the size of Texas. Europeans didn’t forget how to fight. They just made a deliberate, conscious choice to stop, because they’d seen where it leads. Calling that weakness is like calling a retired heavyweight boxer a coward because he doesn’t punch strangers at the supermarket. When MAGA types sneer “snowflakes” at Europeans for declining to join an American adventure in the Persian Gulf, they’re confusing restraint with submission. A thousand-year-old warrior continent sitting quietly at the table isn’t afraid of the fight. It’s just waiting to see if the fight is actually worth having. So far, it isn’t 💪
