Imagine if Iran bombed Washington, killed the U.S. President, politicians, diplomats and top generals, what would you call it? Terrorists. The U.S. bombed Tehran, killed its head of state, politicians, diplomats and top generals. Why do you call it a "pre emptive strike"!

Today I$rael tried to kill me in a targeted airstrike in southern Lebanon as I was reporting on was the targeting of bridges and the forced displacement of 1 million people, an ethnic cleansing operation on a larger scale than the Nakba I have absolutely no doubt that this was deliberate. Despite claims there were no warnings ahead of the strike and no notifications sent to the Lebanese Army who allowed us to film As we have seen in Gaza they want to silence journalists who document and report their war crimes It is the western powers who provide political and military support for I$rael, arming it to the teeth to carry out genocide in Gaza and ethnic cleansing here in Lebanon. They are not simply complicit, but active participants and should be held accountable for their actions. But if I$rael thinks today’s strike will silence us and keep us out of the field they are very, very mistaken

Colonizers have always portrayed resistance as terrorism, savagery, and barbarism. They love to play the victim of the so-called savagery of the colonized and use this perpetual victimhood to justify countless genocides.

Trump’s White House keeps rolling out these videos where they are comparing the atrocities of war to casual things like video games, baseball, and now bowling. This is intentional and their propaganda strategy. The goal is to desensitize the public to the horrors of war. They want you to think it’s “normal” that they’re bombing another country to death. There is nothing normal or ok about bombing elementary schools and mass murdering civilian populations. Our government IS the terrorist.

I think people should seriously question why sexual liberation is so often articulated as the primary form of freedom for women. Who decided that this is the horizon of emancipation? Why is “liberation” indistinguishable from incorporation into a sexual marketplace?

Foreign power uses military force to remove the native ruler. The natives don't have the means to fight back. Foreign power will now decide who should rule the natives. With no say from the natives in that decision. Because foreigners know best. And then the foreign power takes over their expensive resources. To be sent back to their own country for cheap/free. With again no say from the natives. And the natives must buy only from the foreigner. Overpriced, expensive goods that poor natives can't afford. The weak native economy crumbles further as the foreign power loots the poor. The natives get poorer, and the foreign power gets richer at its expense. It was called Colonialism. The world believed it will never come back. It is back - proudly announced by a US President and playing out in full public view in the age of social media. In 2026. Colonialism is back.

People need to admit that they don’t actually know anything about Maduro. They simply believe he’s the villain because their government told them so and they have an unquestioning belief in US exceptionalism.
Alan MacLeod@AlanRMacLeod

It's worth remembering that, as he cast his vote in last year's presidential election, Maduro shouted "long live free Palestine!" His opponent, Maria Corina Machado, said that "Israel's struggle is our struggle."

Donald, you just wrote the most honest colonial confession of the 21st century. When you say Venezuela must "return" its oil, land, and assets to the United States, you are not talking about law. You are talking about ownership. You are saying, out loud, what empire has always believed in private: What lies under Venezuelan soil belongs to Washington. What grows on Venezuelan land belongs to U.S. corporations. What Venezuela builds for itself is "stolen" if it is not built for you. That is not security. That is naked imperial entitlement. Let us be precise. Venezuela did not invade Texas. It did not occupy Florida. It did not sabotage American refineries or seize American ports. Venezuela did one thing. It took back control of its own oil from foreign companies and tried to build a sovereign project outside the dollar. From that moment, its fate was sealed. Coups. Sanctions. Freezing of assets. Recognition of a fake "president" who never won an election. Now you talk about armadas, blockades, and "terrorist" designations. Everything you accuse Venezuela of, the United States has done on a planetary scale. You talk about drug trafficking. Colombia was your closest partner for decades. You talk about human trafficking. Your own border, your own allies, your own corporations profit from it. You talk about terrorism. Latin America is full of mass graves and dictatorships installed, trained, and armed by Washington. And you dare to call a blockaded country a "foreign terrorist organization" for the crime of refusing to hand over its oil. A blockade is not a policy. It is an act of war carried out with banks instead of bombs. It starves civilians. It denies medicine. It crushes currency. It manufactures the humanitarian crisis you then use as justification for more aggression. Venezuela did not "steal" anything from you. Those oil fields were not born with an American flag on them. What you call "our assets" are contracts that a sovereign nation chose to end. You are not demanding justice. You are demanding restitution for lost privileges. Strip away the rhetoric, and the message is simple: The "largest armada" is not there to defend America. It is there to discipline a country that chose sovereignty. It is a message to every nation in the Global South: If you nationalize, we will strangle you. If you de-dollarize, we will isolate you. If you resist, we will call you terrorists. Venezuela is not the thief in this story. Venezuela is the house that finally changed the locks. And the fact that you call its oil "ours" is all the proof anyone needs that the biggest foreign terrorist organization in this equation is not in Caracas. It is in Washington. @realDonaldTrump

“Venezuela is completely surrounded by the largest Armada ever assembled in the History of South America. It will only get bigger, and the shock to them will be like nothing they have ever seen before — Until such time as they return to the United States of America all of the Oil, Land, and other Assets that they previously stole from us…” - President Trump

So a sitting U.S. Congresswoman openly says: "We are about to enter Venezuela… It will be a feast for American oil companies." How is this NOT colonial looting in broad daylight. The United States is never "bringing freedom". It is always marching like the invading army of resource-hungry vultures that it is, treating an entire sovereign nation as a buffet for its corporations. A trillion-dollar "economic activity" simply means one thing: steal their oil, crush their economy, and pretend it's humanitarian. And Maria Elvira Salazar says it with a smile... proud, shameless, dripping with entitlement. If this is how U.S. lawmakers speak publicly, imagine what they plan privately. Call it what it is: Modern-day imperialism. Corporate invasion. Economic war. Venezuela is not your "feast". It is a nation; one the U.S. has tried to strangle for decades. Her words expose the truth: Washington still believes it owns the world. We see you. Washington is the den of terrorism.
