HAPPENING NOW: Thus ends Day One of the 2026 NDP leadership election convention. The party delegates' primary concern โ€” up to the very last speaker โ€” remained the "equity cards." I am excited to see what modifications are made to the system and how this unfolds on Day Two.

I hate to admit this, but I too am quite the pro in this realm and beyond just that specific molecule. Maybe this person will see this. There is a reason why our memories are wiped when we come to this place, because we come here for a purpose. There are exceptions, emergencies, or corrective action can be taken, and very specific curiosities explored, and unjust traumas healed. But that is not where we belong. Rest assured that you will get back there, in time, but you have things to do here first. I was banned for a time from the land of the gods (any name you pick is better than quantum anything) and itโ€™s not up for debate. The current mindset he has here, the desperation to return, is the essence of his lack of readiness and lack of discipline, but most importantly, his lack of development considering how long he claims to have spent there. Itโ€™s not a party, itโ€™s not a library, itโ€™s not your hangout spot, itโ€™s not a church; you are a guest in that house and you better act like it.

Attnย @FlintDibble : (1)ย you have been boasting and preening for nearly two years that you "won" your debate on the JRE withย me and that your self-proclaimed brilliant performance "tanked" my audience. Usually, it is the loser of a debate, not the winner, who asks for a second round. I must therefore assume that your petulant demands to go "face to face" with me again mean youโ€™ve known all along that you failed yourself andย embarrassedย your profession very badly when you sat down with me for JRE 2136 and that everything you've said on the matter since then is simply the smelly gas of a deeply insecure man. (2)ย In your pinned post of March 10th 2026 you accuse me of cowardice and lack of integrity and claim that Iย "rejected two different offers to go face to faceโ€ with you "on major, international media outlets". From whence came the โ€œtwo different offersโ€ for me to go face to face with you in a second debate? When and where were these โ€œoffersโ€ made? And in what way, where, did I rejectย these offers? (3) For the avoidance of future doubt let me be clear. I am content for JRE 2136, the debate that you claim you won, to stand as the permanent record of what passed between us and to continue to allow those who are still interested to make up their own minds on the matter.ย I see no point in sitting down with you again to accommodate your neediness.

Neil deGrasse Tyson says heโ€™s spoken with the head of #NASA about a #TomCruise-led space movie: โ€œAt the time, I spoke with the head of NASA about this because he approached NASA,โ€ he told Variety at the #ProjectHailMary premiere. โ€œHe wants all filming to be done in Zero-G.โ€ In July 2023, while promoting โ€œMission: Impossible โ€“ Dead Reckoning Part One,โ€ Cruise said he didnโ€™t yet have a production start date but was โ€œworking on it diligently.โ€ There are currently no official plans to move forward with the project aboard the International Space Station (ISS), which would mark the first narrative feature filmed entirely in space. When asked if it could still happen, Tyson said: โ€œOh, yeah. I mean, heโ€™s got money. He can pay NASA. NASA needs money right now!โ€

@Oddtask @claudeai @AnthropicAI Thank you for the idea. The problem is that they both consolidated the thread and don't have the full thread to work from. I also didn't realize this has probably been going on for a couple of monthsโ€”not often, but enough that I'll never sort it out.

Geopolymer/zeolite chemistry has many synergistic applications. One is the manufacture of zeolites/molecular sieves. This opens the option for pressure/vacuum swing adsorption. tl;dr zeolite=>nitrogen=>ammonia=>fertilizer en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pressure_โ€ฆ

Is it becoming obvious why it's time for a circular economy?
Ben Magelsen ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ@benmagelsen

๐ŸŒฑ Turning Wastewater into a Resource with Geopolymers! ๐ŸŒŠ Did you know that geopolymer-based adsorbents could revolutionize ammonia capture from wastewater? These eco-friendly materials are highly effective at trapping ammonium (NHโ‚„โบ) thanks to their porous, zeolite-like structure. Studies show they can achieve adsorption capacities up to 21 mg/g, even in complex wastewater like landfill leachates! ๐Ÿšฐ But hereโ€™s the game-changer: thermal regeneration. By heating geopolymers to 80โ€“150ยฐC, adsorbed ammonia can be released as NHโ‚ƒ gas and captured for reuse, think fertilizer production or even ammonia fuel! ๐Ÿ”„ This process leverages low-grade waste heat, making it energy-efficient and sustainable. Research on similar materials like zeolites supports its potential, though geopolymer-specific studies are still emerging. Why geopolymers? Theyโ€™re cost-effective, stable, and environmentally friendly, with a lower carbon footprint than traditional adsorbents like activated carbon. Challenges remain, like optimizing thermal regeneration and scaling up ammonia recovery systems, but the future looks promising for turning wastewater into a circular economy asset! ๐ŸŒŽ What do you think, could geopolymers be the key to sustainable wastewater treatment? Share your thoughts! ๐Ÿ‘‡
