I haven't seen any of my X friends post this, but I think it is important to know that Democrats have written a bill that would make online ammo purchases illegal. This is just another reason why the mid-terms are so important. #2A #2Amendment #ShallNotBeInfringed

@Col2Vintage If you're looking at 0-60 and 1/4 mile times, a Kia K5 GT will be faster and have better handling. But it does not have the good looks of a Chevelle SS. Maybe someday the Kia will be a collectors car. In the 80's, that Chevelle was just another used car...

@malletcncworks I respectfully disagree. I don't miss replacing/adjusting points, condensers, plugs, distributor caps and rotors every 12K miles.

@lucyshow11 Wait until I tell you we had a rifle range in the basement and competed with other high schools. We kept or rifles (.22LR) in our lockers and carried them to school.

@insanebrain69 @malletcncworks IMO, cars from that era were the best. Electronic fuel management and distributorless ignition for fuel economy and reliability. Not the iPads with wheels of today.

@TheGreenOldDill Nice. If it's got the 3.8L 2bbl engine, it's going to be slow though. They are really nice riding cars, very quiet and comfortable. The 307 V8 was better, but choked by emissions equipment. Love the style of those GM RWD G-Body cars.

@insanebrain69 @malletcncworks It could also be the mandatory stop/start systems stressing out alternators (and starters) causing early failure. I can't stand them. All for what? An extra .2 mpg?

@OverboostedOne @malletcncworks Thats fair. You genuinely seem to know more about engines and me and I will give you that. But I stand by new parts are shittier

@insanebrain69 @malletcncworks The picture that was posted of the easily replaced alternator looks like it was from a 60's era V8 (Chevy smallblock?) No A/C, no power steering, no DOHC hardware, so it's easy to replace. Subarus are still pretty easy these days, but they don't fail often.

@insanebrain69 @malletcncworks Probably. Everything has been cheapened a bit, but IMO they are still more reliable than the 60's alternators with mechanical voltage regulators. At least you could replace a faulty voltage regulator back then because it was external. Now, they are computer controlled. Oof.

@OverboostedOne @malletcncworks I can also name alternator manufacturers. Does not change the fact that the alternator in that Tundra is a better alternator than 99% of what’s being put on the market in 2026

@insanebrain69 @malletcncworks Denso alternators used by many Japanese manufacturers are known to be robust. Bosch for European manufacturers seem fine. Mopar is subpar IMO. AC/Delco is hit or miss. I've seen a lot fail because a leaking valve cover gasket drenched them with oil over time.

@OverboostedOne @malletcncworks I will 100% give you the battery. But again I have had to replace multiple dead alternators on 2010+ vehicles but Condie’s (my 2001 tundra) keeps on converting energy

@insanebrain69 @malletcncworks From my experience, yes. Much better now. Replace your battery every 3-4 years too. A half kicked in the ass battery will stress your alternator first start of the day as it goes full bore to bring the old battery to full charge after a night of self discharging.

@krasninski1911 @malletcncworks I learned a long time ago that reman alternators and starters sucked. I get brand new from NAPA. Pay a little more but never have to worry about a premature failure. Also, replace your battery every 3-4 years to prolong alternator life. Don't wait until it fails.

@WallStreetApes I find it odd that they are posting this shit from cars that are a lot nicer and newer than I drive. I have a newer company provided car, but the newest car that we drive is a 2005. Perfectly reliable and I have no problems going on a 1,500 mile road trip. I don't do doordash too

Young Americans are having mental breakdowns realizing the cost of rent, gas and life means they’ll never be able to afford anything They are breaking down knowing that no matter how much they work, it all just goes to monthly bills they still cant afford This is unsustainable

If Iran has had passive radars from the beginning of the war, it should have been able to shoot down more of our planes. The fact that Iran has shot down only one plane suggests China or Russia has recently supplied these radars.
Brian Allen@allenanalysis

🚨 ABC News confirms: Iran used advanced passive infrared detection to shoot down the American F-15. Passive infrared detection does not emit radar signals. It cannot be detected or jammed by American electronic warfare systems. It is invisible to the technology America has spent trillions building its air superiority around.

We filed a complaint on the military flyover of Kid Rock's home. The DOD IG must investigate whether the stunt violated any federal or DOD rules, how much taxpayer money was spent.
