I have something to confess. I've never actually completed Persona 4 in any capacity. The furthest I got was Kanji's dungeon. I don't like the dungeons of P4, they're easily the weakest in the series for me. Please don't hate me for larping P4, I watched the anime

The whole conspiracy angle makes sense now. The stamp wasn't a spy thing, it's supposed to be a government [CONFIDENTAL] stamp. And the protag looking generic makes sense since you wouldn't want a government agent standing out
