When I started covering Tesla, there was a massive smear campaign underway against the company. You wouldn’t believe how much negativity they flung out everyday, trying to see what would stick. When I called them out, they started attacking and smearing me too. They called the cops on me, made false child pornography allegations, and tried to blackmail me into staying silent. None of that was able to stop Tesla from becoming a multi trillion dollar company. The same goes for Rivian. They will either succeed or they will fail. People talking about how things are going doesn’t change the outcome. Don’t shoot the messenger. I know it’s unpopular, but if I help one investor understand the company or the AEV market a little better then i’m happy.

@themarkethustle I do both and they each have their place. Real estate = cash flow + appreciation + tax benefits. Index funds = zero effort. Depends on your goals.

Stock market investing becomes a lot more appealing when you break down the cost of mortgage interest, inspections, appraisals, closing costs, home maintenance, property taxes, PMI, pest control, HOA fees, landscaping/lawn care, home insurance, and a 6% fee to resell your home.
