This was a cold-blooded murder driven by racial hatred. "I got that white girl" after he stabbed and let her bleed out. That visceral look on her face, making herself small, alone, no one helping as she died, is why everyone is emotional about it. I am imploring that the collective internet take a step back and understand how the justice system works, that this is not a plea of insanity at the time of the murder, and incompetence to stand trial is not a defense of the crime. It is a constitutionally protected right, that you have to be able to understand the proceedings and help in your defense. Also, this trial is not over, the defense and prosecutor agreed to a 180 day hold, and the trial will continue once it is determined he is fit to stand trial. I like everyone else want to see him found guilty for the heinous crime, but the rage bait/ignorance over this is too much.
