@SolarNS @nspowerinc Unbelievable. This can’t happen. It’ll set us backwards in a world where solar and other alternatives are key to sustainability. I heard it said (can’t find the source) that this is like a pizza place charging me for making my own pizza. Stop.

BREAKING NEWS: @nspowerinc is proposing to charge homeowners who have net-metered solar installations $8/kW/month fee. To put this in perspective, a homeowner with a 10kW system generates about $1,760 worth of electricity per year. They will be required to pay NSP $960 per year.

On Thursday evening we gathered at the Rose Purdy Center at AFN and watched “We Were Children” as part of Truth and Reconciliation Day. Words won’t work here. Watch it. Kleenex and an open heart needed. I haven’t stopped thinking about it. Rightfully so. @TownOfYarmouth

This beautiful handmade Mi'kmaw Friendship Bench, was built & donated by local craftsman James Colquhoun. Mi'kmaw artist Ed Benham added hieroglyphs and petroglyphs & Acadia First Nation emblem. The bench’s permanent home is Frost Park @TownOfYarmouth #TruthAndReconciliation
