If this doesn't have a camera bob that will make me throw up if I play too long then we can't call it a spiritual successor! (Also please have a camera bob toggle so I can play this incredible endeavor otherwise I'll throw up.)

🎉🎉🎉 Holy shit, debut post! 🎉🎉🎉 Hey, I'm Solace! I'm working on the game called Legion of Honor that is to be a spiritual successor of Medal of Honor on the PS1. I also work on other projects though, so keep on the lookout for progress snippets here! #godot #indie #solodev

We need to generate a lot of cool looking tech in the game - and while we have a lot of hand crafted elements - finding unique ways to combine them to build things is HARD. We have one artist... me... and I'm lazy. So I created this 'Machine Shop'. It uses a Polyomino shape base to construct a shape based off a grid - and the populates details on that grid according to a set of rules. It then adjusts the elements as needed to avoid clipping - and spawns in the points needed for the wires and pipes to be connected to each other. The wires and pipes will try to intelligently find 'sockets' to travel to - either favoring connecting to a computer server, power node, and piece of equipment. The workflow is fairly non destructive - so you can go in by hand and alter anything as needed.

Undead Chronicles
Undead Chronicles@undeadchro·
Most zombie games feel too ‘gamey’ to me, I want something else. One of the main reasons I started creating Undead Chronicles is simple: I love zombie games, but too many of them feel… safe. Not brutal. Not disturbing. Too “gamey.” One thing I love about TLOU is that it feels very brutal. My goal is to change that a bit and not play safe. I want every encounter to feel raw, heavy, and genuinely unsettling and also scary. Satisfying, brutal zombie combat is the #1 priority for the demo.

You don't need any external tools to create nice cliffs with our Coast & Dunes - Environment Set. With 100% scanned and perfectly tiled cliffs, the landscape spline will handle the whole wall for you without repetition. If you need some control, move, scale, rotate, or change the section's seed inside the spline. You can find it on FAB. #CreatedwithFab #MadeWithUnreal #gamedev #indiedev @fab @UnrealEngine

I am looking for a new role making stylized Environment Art and/or leading an environment art team. I worked at Moonshot on Wildgate, was Lead Environment Artist on Overwatch 2, and shipped games with a small team at Torn Banner lucasannunziata.com #gamedev #unreal #ue5

@StasisGame It's also just perfect for kit bashing, and layering with other objects. As a level designer, I would get a lot of mileage out of an asset like that. It looks great!

@PatrickBlank Agreed! I also generally try to stay away from anything that’s gives away too much scale. So it could be a meter long, or sit inside a smaller machine - or be a huge structural beam that’s far in the distance. Being able to play with scale opens up so many more opportunities.

Something that helps me rapidly produce models is making my own simple texture atlas kits. Ill start with a high res kit - and then make an atlas to match it by rendering out the 'top' views. This ensures the textures are matched - and the elements can be easily mixed as needed. And honestly, often I don't even touch the mid poly pieces - building with the cards is very quick, and the meshes are optimized out the gate.
