Angel Batista from Dexter simply because he’s one of my favourite characters from any TV show. David Zayas was actually a real-life NYPD officer for 15 years before becoming an actor.

I want to apologize for not responding to any of the 22 thousand comments my last post inspired. I’ve been filming all week and just noticed my observations about Jimmy Kimmel and a former plumber named Markwayne Mullin have gone viral. I've also noticed that many of the comments are from people who genuinely seem to believe that Jimmy wasn’t belittling plumbers at all, but was instead, simply trying to point out that Mullin is not qualified to lead the DHS. Here's a small smattering...
Roger Bicknell...
Mikey stop. Kimmel wasn't making fun of plumbers he was making fun of Mullin.
Rebecca Piatt Gonzalez...
Dearest Mike, it's not anything to do with his being a plumber. It's him NOT being skilled in Homeland Security.
Patrick Wise...
Being a plumber qualifies you to be a plumber. Period. The issue Jimmy and the rest of us at the adult table recognize is that jobs require certain training and experience and being a plumber does not qualify you to be Sec of DHS.
Had Roger, Rebecca, Patrick and all the others who rushed to Jimmy’s Kimmel’s defense actually read what I had written, they would see that I did not suggest - even remotely - that a plumber was inherently qualified to hold a cabinet position. What I said was that being a plumber should not disqualify a person from holding such a position. Big difference. Doctors, lawyers, veterinarians, fireman, and university professors are no more or less qualified to run the DHS than plumbers, electricians, or carpenters – but should they all be dismissed as “unqualified” simply because they made a living in some other vocation?
As I wrote in my original post, credentials and diplomas are great ways to bolster a person’s credibility, especially if we’re talking about mastering a specific skill. I think we can all agree that plumbers, accountants, mechanics, and surgeons should all have to prove themselves competent before hanging out a shingle. But what do their credentials and diplomas have to do with their actual competency? Are we not already surrounded by a legion of perfectly qualified experts who don't know what the hell they're doing? Moreover, what do credentials and experience have to do with wisdom, honesty, common sense, integrity, courage, the ability to lead, or any other virtue we’d like to have in our elected officials?
There are plenty of legitimate reasons to question Mullin’s suitability for this role. But there’s no legitimate reason to disqualify him simply because he used to be a plumber. Just as there was no legitimate reason to dismiss AOC because she used to tend bar. As for the joke itself, here’s an honest question. If Senator Mullin was a retired doctor instead of a retired plumber, do you believe he would have would made the same joke?
Roger, Rebecca, Patrick...be honest. Do you really think Jimmy would have said to his audience, "So, now we have a DOCTOR in charge of protecting us from terrorism? Hey – it worked for Dr. Suess – maybe it’ll work for Markwayne!"
Personally, I don't. Not in a million years. Why? Because no one would have found it funny, that’s why. Even though doctors are no more “qualified” to protect us from terrorists than plumbers are, Jimmy knows that doctors are widely respected in society, and that plumbers are not. He knows that medical degrees and doctorates are aspirational credentials, whereas plumbing certificates are not. The entire premise of his joke was based on a personal bias that he knew his audience shared – a bias that presupposes plumbers are uneducated, one-dimensional workers who never made it to college, and are therefore "unqualified" to do anything but plumb.
Jimmy is entitled to his opinion, along with anyone else who believes that Mullin is unqualified to lead the DHS. The Constitution, however, says otherwise, and so does the Senate. Likewise, reasonable people can disagree as to what is funny and what isn’t. Frankly, I couldn’t care less. What I do care about, is the extraordinary shortage of plumbers and electricians our country is facing, and the longstanding stigmas and stereotypes that continue to discourage people from considering a lucrative career in the skilled trades. Jimmy’s joke – and his audience’s reaction to it – is proof positive that those stigmas and stereotypes are alive and well.
PS. We have a lot of money set aside to help train the next generation of plumbers. Apply for a scholarship at mikeroweworks.org Who knows? Could be the first step on your road to President..

I read how a failed Pakistani 'asylum seeker' who repeatedly abused and raped an eight year old girl has been jailed for 15 years.
He abused her in her own home and bedroom.
She was told that if she told anyone, she would die.
I wouldn't deport him.
Under a Restore Britain Government, with the British people's approval, the death penalty would be reintroduced for such evil and undeniable crimes.
He would be put to death.
If you rape a young child, you do not deserve to live.
It's that simple.

Exactly one year ago today, Austin Metcalf was murdered in broad daylight.
The man responsible is now sitting at home on house arrest - enjoying freedom and time with his family.
He admitted to the act, saying: “I’m not alleged. I did it.”
He spent just 12 days in jail.
His bond was reduced.
Over half a million dollars was raised.
He was allowed to graduate.
And he is allegedly now attending college.
And somehow, this is what justice looks like?
This is a complete dishonor to the real victim - Austin Metcalf.
As Charlie Kirk said:
“Imagine believing that murderers deserve condolences, not their victims. The divide in America is between anyone with a grip on reality, and the clinically insane.” Those who support the killer are exactly that: clinically insane.
Austin deserved better. And we are not going to let his name be forgotten.
We will be watching.
We will be speaking.
And we will demand justice at trial.
Today, we remember Austin Metcalf.
We pray for his grieving family.
Do not give attention to the killer.
Do not amplify his name.
Say Austin’s name.
A life taken too soon - by a culture that believes accountability will never come.
We’re going to change that.
FOR AUSTIN.
RIP AUSTIN METCALF
Born: July 31, 2007
Gone, but never forgotten: April 2, 2025

While the left was telling you that you were the world's pariah...
While the left was telling you America still hated you for Pearl Harbor...
While the left was telling you we saw Fukushima as the site of an ecological crime instead of a heroic battle against a natural disaster...
They were telling a younger version of me that Japan looked on us with contempt.
They were telling us that you thought we were racially inferior. That our facial features were coarse and ugly. That you thought we stank ("batta kusai"). That you thought of us as uncultured barbarians with no refinement or manners.
That you you saw the atomic bombs as acts of calculated cruelty, rather than desperate measures in a horrific war.
They showed us photographs of businesses, somewhere in Japan, with signs outside, saying "no foreigners". They posted them in anime forums online, with captions like "So you love Japan? Well, Japan doesn't love you."
And I couldn't help but believe some of that. A little bit. It was the only information I had.
I once wrote a very angry post defending the decision to use atomic weapons instead of invading, a decision I still believe was sound, but I wrote about it with great anger, believing as I was told, that the Japanese felt no responsibility for the war, that they blamed everything on us.
I lost a grandfather in WW2, a grandfather I never met. And my father didn't know how to be a father, because he grew up without one.
And I was angry.
And then someone connected twitter to an AI that could turn Japanese into English.
And I learned what Japanese people actually wanted to say to me:
"Hey, look at this thing I made!"
"We love cats! Do you love cats, too?"
"Arggh! That meat looks so delicious! This is torture!"
"I love bluegrass music!"
"It's so cool that you guys can own guns!"
"Are you mad about Fukushima? Wait, you're not? What!?"
Sigh.
The left tells so many lies, because they need us to feel bad. They need us to feel alone, and afraid, and angry. They need us to feel worthless, so that we will surrender and allow ourselves to be dependent on the worldwide tyranny they wish to create.
But to do this, they have to tell different lies to different people.
And when we learn to talk to each other, and we compare notes, we can discover the inconsistencies, and spot the lies.
The Christian religion has a legend, a story of the people of Bab'el, who built a tower reaching towards the heavens, so that they might climb.
For some reason that isn't really clear, god is supposed to have found this to be a threat, and responded by cursing the world to speak different tongues, so that they could not work together.
Now, AI technology has undone the curse of Bab'el, and rocket technology is building a tower of fire to lift us to the stars.
There are too many people in the world who are actually bad, who actually hate us, and don't want to see that progress.
So perhaps it's time we stopped nursing old grudges against people who we actually can live in peace with. I'm not the only person who suffered a loss. None of us is.
Perhaps it's time, instead, to defy the people who lie to us. Perhaps it's time to work together again.
And rebuild that tower.

My "gay lifestyle" is that I sleep too late and walk 12k steps every day and play video games and lift weights four days a week and have monogamous relations and watch movies and dick around too much online.
So sick of weirdos on the left and right politicizing it, speaking for me, assigning crazy ass delusions to what they think I'm supposed to be doing or saying or thinking or voting for.
Fuck. Off. Leave me the fuck alone.

The punishment for stealing a wallet in Japan is 10 years imprisonment or a fine of 500,000 yen under Article 235 of the penal code.
If you’re a foreigner you will then be swiftly deported and banned from ever coming back after serving your punishment.
Despite what Ketanji Brown-Jackson claims you will not be granted honorary Japanese citizenship.

UPDATE: Just got out of court in Miami. The Judge extended the temporary restraining order until May 11th. There will be a ruling then.
The court is now asking me to surrender my firearms. See documents below.
We are filing an emergency interlocutory appeal today.
Prior restraint against a newsroom is unconstitutional. Near v Minnesota. NYT v United States. This is a violation of our 1st and 2nd amendment rights. We are filing an anti-SLAAP, seeking attorneys fees and will appeal all the way, if necessary.
The TRO is also based upon third party’s comments, not our reporting. Thats a “hecklers veto,” where the government suppresses or restricts news reporting because of the reaction of an audience.
This is regarding our reporting on Matt Tyrmand. We published a tape of him threatening to kill me. He shot up an image of me on the front of my book with a rifle bullet through my heart. He bragged about being a SDNY informant. Comments were angry at him. He just brought a “domestic violence stalking” Restraining order afterwards in Miami family court against my news organization, and the local Judge signed off. This is an extraordinary series of events. This is not an April Fools joke.
