@JenniferCole73 To cut a very long story short… I’d been a teacher for 11 years and ready for a new challenge.. was nearing the end of my phd and applied on a whim for a Lecturer in Primary Ed role. I had also been working as a learning support adviser at Birkbeck Uni on Sundays which helped!

@dogsandrobins I work in teacher education now and absolutely love it. I think teachers underestimate experience and skill they have to offer other sorts of work. The people management skills alone! But add to that short and long term planning and evaluation, ethic of care, flexibility…
