I lost my precious 23 YO son to suicide September 2024. He had his own business, paid more tax than any of his friends yet NHS mental health support failed him. I'm writing this as I have now made a formal complaint to a NHS Mental Health trust and having to relive everything kinda messes with you and I need to vent. After more than 2 years of poor MH, James finally managed to get a NHS psychiatrist assessment with the Bristol North Assessment & Recovery Service in August 2024. After this one session he was wished "all the best on your recovery" and no need to see James again! 7 weeks later he took his own life, wasn't a cry for help he wanted out. I sent a calmly worded letter to the NHS psychiatrist in September 2025 as I felt there were serious failures in hiding details from us and a lack of support from the NHS team. As yet I received nothing not even an acknowledgment. Hence the formal complaint. My son was failed by the system as he was too considerate, articulate and well mannered. If the psychiatrist was any good they should have seen through the masking and realised he needed more support and not just medication. We all see the decline in everything. Our minds especially on social media are being corrupted. Add AI slop on top and well there is only one direction of travel IMO. If the world was a better kinder more equal place with a tangible amount of hope we wouldn't need the levels of mental health support that we obviously do. Message to governments: If you ain't going to fix the toxic elements in society you better make sure there's more #MentalHealth support out there. If you read to the bottom of this well done, you've earnt a ⭐️

@ms_browwn I hate phone calls so phone is always on silent but set with over ride for my adult children so they can always call me day or night. Never know when they might need me ❤️

I used to live like that, untill I missed 14 calls from my friend at 1130pm who also happened to text to tell me that her ex followed her home and is threatening to kill her. I woke up at 6am trying to return her calls only to find out he killed her.

Missing Cat – Please Help My cat, Fleur, has gone missing in Lansdown Crescent area of Bath. She’s a brown Burmese cat with distinctive yellow/green eyes (photo attached). She’s friendly but can be shy, and may be hiding or accidentally locked in somewhere. She is not an outdoor cat and is likely to be very frightened. For too long people have had to sit on the phone endlessly on hold to their GP. It's infuriating. From now on, almost every GP practice in England will offer online consultations. This is how we're making our NHS fit for the future.

Being terrorised by a weirdo at the back of my house. Trying to start a fire and @HantsPolice won’t come out, he started trying to get in my garden at 5am this morning. He is on camera, there right now and yet no one will come out. Looks like I won’t be sleeping tonight!!

Today I've mostly been crying about going back to work and leaving my tiny baby at home 🥺 Yes, it's a 'choice' I made, but being financially forced into returning to work before your baby is 4 months old isn't really a choice. #maternity

Can't believe I'm about to start my 27th year teaching. Still learning, still love education and working with young people. The roles have changed but the purpose is the same. One thing is very clear, education likes fads and cling on to them like truths even when they aren't.
