I support birthright citizenship. I mean actual birthright citizenship. My children -- who were born in this country to American parents, who have ancestors who've fought in every war since the 1700s, who are tied to this land by blood and heritage -- have a birthright. A birthright to live in the country that was built for them, enjoying the safety and security and prosperity that their ancestors intended to pass down to them. That's the only kind of birthright we should be talking about. On the other hand, the child of an illegal immigrant, whose parents showed up 10 seconds ago to exploit a loophole, who have no ties to this country or even any real affection for it or loyalty to it, has no birthright here.
