Retired Minneapolis cop tells all: Somali fraud, stolen cars, and ‘the last straw’ "I think it's disingenuous to say that crime is down. Numbers are easy to fudge and they do it all the time,” said "Sam," a now-retired Minneapolis police officer. Sam spoke openly about the limited number of officers and their ability to serve the public in such challenging circumstances. "And there’s officers that are going through training and failing miserably but being pushed through," he said. Sam worked in the Cedar Riverside area for decades. The area has been recognized for having the highest concentration of Somali residents in Minneapolis. Even with decades of experience, Sam said, “I’ve never been to a DOA involving a Somali, never in my career. And I spent many, many years on the street … And I find it very strange that something that happens routinely in the department on a daily basis that you do not see any Somali DOAs. It’s very odd. I would love to know the reason why.”

“I find it very strange that something that happens routinely in the department on a daily basis, that you do not see any Somali DOAs. It’s very odd. I would love to know the reason why,” he added.

Lakeville couple flooded with state mail on paid leave, unemployment benefits addressed to mystery businesses A Lakeville couple says they are receiving a growing stack of official letters from Minnesota’s Unemployment Insurance and Paid Family and Medical Leave programs — all addressed to businesses they have never heard of and have never operated from their home. Despite multiple phone calls and letters to the state, the couple says the mail keeps coming. Since mid-February, the homeowners say they have received more than 20 official letters from Minnesota’s unemployment and paid leave programs addressed to companies they say have no apparent record of existing. “We’ve lived here for 22 years,” the homeowner told Alpha News. “We’ve never run a business out of this house. It’s a purely residential neighborhood.” “We just don’t want our address associated with something fraudulent,” the homeowner said.

SUBMITTED: Richfield, Minnesota’s “Equity Coordinator” advertises BIPOC-only event: “In a workplace that is predominantly white, many BIPOC staff carry additional layers of emotional labor, grief, and exhaustion that often go unseen,” the email reads. “The email is pretty explicit in its discriminatory nature and talks about how horrible it is to work in the predominantly white environment at the city. Also worth noting that she made the email unable to be forwarded. Wonder why that would be?” the tipster said.

Democrat bill would require caretakers to affirm ‘gender identity’ of foster children HF 3024 would effectively prevent Christians from serving as foster parents in Minnesota. Renee Carlson, the general counsel for True North Legal, testified against the portion of the bill that involves gender identity. Carlson explained that the gender identity language “goes beyond addressing basic needs” and would “exclude qualified foster parents whose beliefs conflict with these mandates.”

Democratic state senator alleges ‘deeply troubling’ fraud in party convention process Sen. Susan Pha wrote that participants reported “troubling incidents,” including the “recruitment of individuals from outside the district to participate as delegates and instances where candidates and campaign organizers instructed people to list addresses where they do not live in order to qualify as delegates.” Rep. Walter Hudson weighed in, saying: "If they'll do this to their own, why wouldn't they do this in the election?"

EXPOSED: Retired Minneapolis cop tells all: Somali fraud, stolen cars, and ‘the last straw’ A Minneapolis police officer who worked on the streets for decades spoke with Liz Collin on her podcast. Due to anti-law enforcement hostility and retaliation, he asked to remain anonymous. But he spoke candidly about a wide range of topics, including the shocking problems with retirements and recruits, Somali fraud, cars that have been stolen more than a few times, and more. However, he says, it was the politics of city hall—preventing cooperation with federal law enforcement and compromising public safety during Operation Metro Surge—that was the final straw for him.
