I’m encouraged to see that Utahns aren’t falling for the distraction. Utahns know that their state government isn’t putting their concerns first. They know that the system is getting rigged to help the connected. Our state government isn’t doing enough to stop the invasion of our country by illegal immigrants. Our once competitive economy has stagnated to the point that our only GDP growth in Utah is coming from growth in government spending. Utahns can’t afford homes, and paychecks aren’t keeping up with increasing costs.
Yet, somehow, the biggest priority of our current governor is to build shiny new stadiums for his friends.
We need a change.
Utahns know it.

When elected officials consistently advocate for and support obstruction of public records, data, and information; you can be certain there is something in it for them. Why is @gopTODD so defensive about and protective of the names that put @SpencerJCox on the Primary ballot? Is a 5k donation really worth going against the public good? Is transparency in the processes that put elected candidates on a Primary ballot not more important than misguided loyalty?

Here is Todd Weiler’s digital signature packet of names that were gathered to put him on the Primary ballot. As a legislator and a candidate I am legally and lawfully privy to the “withheld” and “private” names. @LGHendersonUtah refuses to follow the law and grant the transparency that I am legally owed. Time after time, efforts to verify the names on these candidate petitions have been obstructed. There is no way to verify that these signers are valid. I refuse to just take their word for it. We deserve and are legally entitled to election transparency. #UtahCorruption #utpol

As a candidate, I am entitled to see the records that put my opponent on the ballot. As a legislator, I’m entitled to use the voter rolls for statistical purposes in formulating legislation. As a convention winner, I’m entitled to the support of the Utah GOP. Most importantly, as a citizen, I am entitled to a transparent election system; something that those in power are clearly opposed to.
