iOS developers: How long is App Review taking for everyone these days? It is now taking longer to get our app approved than it is to build the actual features.

iOS App Review delays are getting ridiculous

With the upcoming heatwave in the Southwest, you can view the HeatRisk from the @NWSWPC. It automatically shows up on the homepage if the HeatRisk reaches level 2/4 or higher.

@candylike666 @US_Stormwatch There is zero tracking in the EverythingWeather app. Only uses your location if you want to pull in the relevant NWS forecasts/warnings. That’s it.

@US_Stormwatch Just use the NWS website. Stop using third-party apps designed for user location tracking. These apps are "awful" because accurate weather is not their primary purpose.

The Weather App on your iPhone is awful (sorry, Apple). I’ve seen tons of screenshots of the upcoming heatwave forecast, and the Weather App is off by up to 5-10 degrees. National Weather Service forecasts are the most accurate source, but unfortunately its website looks like it was built in 2003. @EverythingWX (not an ad) is the only app I know of that displays NWS forecasts in a great user interface. If you are wondering why the Weather App’s forecasts are so inaccurate, it’s because it only uses select raw weather data without any trained meteorologists reviewing it. There are over 120 NWS offices across the US that issue fantastic forecasts using far more models and tools, with real humans reviewing the data. Take the Weather App’s forecast for San Francisco, it’s only forecasting a high of 83°F on Tuesday, while the NWS is forecasting 88°F. The NWS also uses a point forecast system where each grid square covers a 2.5 km × 2.5 km area, which more accurately captures microclimates, perfect for a city like San Francisco. Use the NWS forecast this week and ditch the Weather App.

Android update for EverythingWeather is just awaiting approval from Google. It will fix the issues with the previous update and be faster than ever before!

Hoping to get this next update released ASAP for EverythingWeather. Primarily performance improvements and significant ones at that. Forecasts now load MUCH faster than ever before. Example of selecting a couple random locations here:

@CameronJNixon I have had UC for the last 20 years! I have gone through a ton of treatments over the years. I am on Stelara now. First one that has really ever worked for me.

After years and years of trying, I finally got a diagnosis today: Crohn's!! 🥳 This explains why I can't seem to eat anything without consequences. Any other chasers have this? How do you manage??

@EverythingWX Do you know when EverythingWX on Android is gonna receive the update that the IOS side got several days ago?

Coming soon…Normal temperatures (based on PRISM data) and daily record highs and lows from the nearest climate station.

@StephenRBaxter Right now I am using the ACIS API and pulling the nearest active station (within 25 miles) that has at least 20 years of history

@EverythingWX Curious, are you pulling records from ACIS or NCEI apis?
