Congratulations to Professor M. Satish Kumar, who has been announced as the inaugural Dean of our new campus in Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City), India. Professor Kumar will take up the role in July 2025 and will be based in #GIFTCity, providing academic leadership across the Faculties for the new campus, which will welcome its first cohort of students in early 2026. Having been based in @QUBNBE for over 25 years, Professor Kumar has previously held roles as Director of Queen’s Academy India and of Internationalisation and has played a pivotal role in enhancing our global presence in South Asia. “This is a significant milestone for us, as we progress towards being the first UK @RussellGroup University to establish a campus in GIFT City. “I look forward to working with Satish as the development of our campus accelerates ahead of our opening early next year and wish him well in his new role. We are excited for the opportunities and potential Queen’s in India will have for @QUBStudents and @QUBstaff, whilst also delivering social value and economic impact to the area”.
