Congratulations to our colleagues @pharmacyatQUB on receiving an Athena Swan Gold Award. This is a well deserved achievement which recognises their ongoing commitment to gender equality. They are also the only School of Pharmacy to hold this award across the UK and Ireland.

Highlights from the graduation of Dr. Khawla Humaid Belhoul and Dr. Anas Ali AlSalami, marking a significant milestone as the first dental PhD graduates from @MBRUniversity’s academic partnership with @QUBelfast. This achievement highlights #DubaiHealth’s unwavering commitment to capacity development and elevating healthcare in alignment with the Dubai Social Agenda 33. On our final day of International Men’s Day #IMD2024 @UKMensDay campaign we introduce Dr Stephen McMahon @QubPGJCCR @QUB_SMDBS @QUBelfast @MHLSQUB. Stephen is a researcher in radiation biology and chairs the @QUB_SMDBS staff council.

Barry Tucker @QUBSONM @MHLSQUBis a teacher and expert in adult nursing. Now an #IMD2024 @UKMensDay role model himself, Barry was inspired by Wesley Sterling his former lecturer @QUBelfast

Starting Day 4 of our #IMD2024 @UKMensDay role models campaign with research fellow Dr Thomas Thompson from @pharmacyatQUB @QUBelfast @MHLSQUB who works on antimicrobial resistance. He is even creating a comic book on antimicrobial resistance to make research more accessible!

Dr Sean Roe is our @MHLSQUBEDI committee chair and senior lecturer in @QUB_SMDBS @QUBelfast. Leading by example he is an #IMD2024 @UKMensDay role model and advocate for gender equity and inclusivity.

Dr Declan McLaughlin @doctor_declan was selected for Day 3 of our #IMD2024 @UKMensDay @QUBelfast @MHLSQUB role models campaign for his transformational work in biomedical sciences education

For Day 2 of our @QUBelfast @MHLSQUB #IMD2024 @UKMensDay role models campaign we selected @PaulCaplat for his SWAN leadership for @BiolSci@QUBelfast. @PaulCaplat, himself, is inspired by botanist Theodore #Monod and TV character #McGyver.

Day 2 of our @QUBelfast @MHLSQUB #IMD2024@UKMensDay role models campaign features Professor Jonny Coulter. Based in @pharmacyatQUB, Jonny’s work is focused on the treatment of prostate cancer and the development of novel nanomedicines.

Kicking off Day 1 of our International Men’s Day #IMD2024 @UKMensDay role models campaign with our @QUBelfast @MHLSQUB #ProVC Prof Ian Bruce @Lupusdoc who, as a role model himself, was inspired by Dr Aubrey Bell.
