Encouraging householders to use cleaner heat is a welcome step forward. However the #HeatandBuilding strategy needs to address industrial and commercial heat, which accounts for 40% of heat emissions, and define a role for #biomass, a proven and reliable low carbon heat source.

The @IPPR report on using heat pumps for #decarbonisation made for interesting reading. However, we shouldn't put the majority of hopes on one tech. #netzero heat decarbonisation will only happen if a collective of techs are used - from #biomass in business to #infrared in homes.
