A few people in the replies are saying that the PL wages have to come from somewhere.
If you had a £20/m in-house PL streaming service with every game and a 24 hour channel, you’d match if not hugely improve upon the current TV revenue stream. So many would happily pay for it.

Throw that in alongside the spiralling cost of actually going to games week on week and this is an inevitable consequence of the deep passions which form a huge part of English football’s USP to a global audience. Everyone has a tipping point, if prices were reduced and availability was made wider, piracy would be far less of an issue but they know that already.
