I remember reading The Cult and being taken aback by how human Batman is in it. He's not Bat-god. He gets beaten, drugged, and broken. A major contrast to how he's portrayed today.

It's not the most artful or technical prose but it's fine. The story is fun and creative. Too many people are put off from writing because of snobbery in the writing space. Yes it could be significantly more eloquent and fluid, but perhaps that's not the skill of the writer.

Yes. Because left wing people are at their core, arrogant and self righteous. The ideology tells them they're correct and good. So any deviation from that is to be evil and wrong. Social media has reinforced that tribalism and granted social credit to behaving that way.

I've always seen venom as an anti villian. Someone who is a twisted version of spider-man's "power and responsibility". A bizarro spider-man who will eat a purse snatcher. He will go to the extreme in being a "neighbourhood hero"
