We live in what is now considered a "first time buyer" neighborhood (wild due to the price, but it is)
We moved here from an established neighborhood where we were younger than the average owners kids.
One of the many things I love about living here is first time buyers move in. They mow their own yards, start to take pride in the home they bought and make upgrades.
They often have no kids, in their first jobs and we get to watch the shift.
Right now two families are pregnant with their first. They are setting up baby rooms, preparing their houses, buying bigger cars and moving into their next phase of life.
I find it very exciting.
I love where I live.

Had an easy opportunity to take $5000 from an older woman today.
Her and her husband have been having some sinus issues and saying that there is either dust or mold in their home and they need to remediated.
They thought maybe their Crawlspace was muddy or dusty and was getting into the furnace and AC and then unit the house.
She called me for vapor barrier/encapsulation inspection and quote.
I crawled around in the crawler for a bit then came back up and told her “I’m not going to try to sell you anything. Your vapor barrier is mostly intact and there’s no mature at all down there. I don’t know what is causing your health issues but I don’t see anything that a new encapsulation would fix.”
If I would have told her she needed it, she would have paid. She had a nice house and I’m guessing plenty of money. We just don’t do business that way.
Probably nothing will come of it. The story doesn’t end by her saying she owns 1000 units and wants a recurring service in all of them.
Our business will keep making money tho and we will sleep at night.
She did have some old termite activity. Was treated years ago and is still holding up.

@JeremyGlantz Kellogg's company had an oil lease over that specific land that was signed over 70 years ago and had a wording about superseding any new owner of oil is found. (Huntington beach).
Another one the city has an easement over a graffiti in one side of the building 😅

Esto es como si un vehículo tradicional que tiene el motor, la caja de cambios y el embrague separados, los tenga todos en una sola pieza, lo cual lo haría más compacto y eficiente, pero también más caro de reparar, ya que en una PC convencional de las actuales, si se daña el CPU, solo reemplazas esa pieza, pero este nuevo super chip RTX Spark tiene el CPU, GPU y NPU integrados, además de la RAM anexada como una sola pieza, eso significa que si se te daña lo debes reemplazar completo, o mejor dicho comprarte una nueva PC. Acá lo más novedoso es que ahora la PC podrá correr su propia IA interna sin necesidad de internet, y la podrás personalizar y convertir en una asistente o asesor profesional. Esto si que es grandioso, que la IA integrada piense por tí y hasta haga cosas que tú no puedes.
