Chris Mack is bringing talented guard Chris Davis with him to South Florida, source told @TheFieldOf68.
The 6-4 freshman averaged 7.6 last season at Charleston. Went for double-figures in 5 of the last 8 games - including 17 in the regular-season finale against UNCW.

Speaking as someone inside Iran who stayed connected through Starlink during the total blackout, I can sincerely affirm the real mood across the country right now:
We are relieved the ceasefire negotiations collapsed.
The spirit inside Iran and the genuine desires of the people stand totally against any truce or bargaining with this brutal regime — particularly figures like Ghalibaf, a murdering psychopath who has countless Iranian blood on his hands.
Every form of engagement or compromise with the Islamic Republic is strongly opposed by ordinary Iranians. We are determined to complete the uprising we launched in January. Any support the international community — above all the United States — can offer is deeply appreciated.
For nearly five decades we have suffered relentless torture, sexual violence, executions, degradation, and sorrow at the hands of this tyranny. The outside world has no real grasp of the extent of our pain. The Iranian public feels zero concern for Hezbollah, yet the regime is ready to endanger the entire nation for them. They have always prioritized their terrorist proxies over the well-being of their own citizens.
We exhausted every peaceful option: huge street demonstrations, open resistance, attempts at gradual reform, dialogue — you name it. None succeeded. The regime’s consistent reply has been gunfire, nooses, and fresh waves of fear.
With the talks now broken down, I’m writing this from inside Iran with mixed emotions of anxiety, hope and grief. Whatever unfolds from here, most Iranians will feel a sense of release. No price is too steep to get rid of this evil regime and the price of letting this nightmare drag on is far greater, and for many of us, even dying feels better than one more day under these monsters.
This reflects the authentic voice of the majority of Iranians — a people who frequently lack internet access, global reach, or any platform to speak.
When we lose internet access, the Iranian diaspora becomes our voice abroad. While the ceasefire talks dragged on, they took to the streets in protest, clearly showing the world that we reject any negotiation with this regime and want Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi to represent the Iranian people — because no one inside this regime ever can.
As I have said before, the world will soon see why we declare:
Anything for freedom. Anything to destroy this evil.

I will explain -
1: The college sports we grew up with already died. The money grew, consolidation occured, athletes that generate the revenue that grew rightly sued to get paid and won.
2: The financial fracturing among the D1 universities is growing by the day and will only get far worse in the coming years. Thus, it is no longer a mutual financial relationship between the richest D1 schools (top 28ish of the richest) and the rest of D1. Sure a school outside the top richest schools can invest in an individual sport to be included in the "richest competition tier" such as Denver's hockey program if a school wants to invest in it at a high level. We are already seeing how the talent and successes on the fields and courts are "migrating" to a specific area. Those who can pay more year over year will continue to collect the talent and hire the best coaches and the schools that spend a lot of money and lose will be exposed.
3: Pre-pandemic there were roughly 50 million high school students in public schools in the United States. By 2031 that will drop by roughly 6% (2.7M fewer students). This very week it was reported that 3.6M babies were born than the prior year, a 1% drop. The U.S. fertility rate dropped to a historic low of 1.57 children per woman in 2025, continuing a long-term decline. This rate is well below the 2.1 "replacement level." Thus, the number of elite athletes that will be available to recruit will shrink. That will result in a higher price point to acquire said talent. Thus, that leads to even more financial fracturing between the richest D1 schools and the rest.
4: A dwindling number of prospective students will drive as many as 370 private colleges in the US to shutter or merge with another institution in the next decade, according to a major higher-education consulting firm, Huron Consulting Group’s. And that has already been happening over the last decade, and speeding up. For specifics, 114 private, nonprofit colleges shuttered from 2010 to 2020, according to National Center for Education Statistics data, and in the decade prior to that period, 59 schools closed. Recent research by the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia showed that a one-time 15% drop in prospective students, known as the “demographic cliff,” would cause 80 additional colleges to shutter.
In my state alone, 68 out of 72 counties have fewer high school students than the previous school year.
Even in Texas...for example, Austin ISD enrollment has dropped by over 14,000 students in the past decade, leaving it with just over 69,000 students as of April 2026
Thus, as the pool of athletes shrinks to recruit from, the price tag to acquire the best talent that is coming out of high schools in the USA will get more expensive. Fewer schools will be able to afford the best talent. That leads to the richest schools taking over college athletics, which is already happening at this very second.
So you seperate the richest schools from the rest. That way the schools that are not in the new top tier league of college athletics can adjust more easily as the pool of talent shrinks, enrollment shrinks, etc.
The days of there being more than 130 plus football schools in D1 is over. It is no longer feasible.
5: The legal system. If the richest schools operate in a free market, there are fewer antitrust issues to deal with. That relaxes the pressures for the rest of the D1 schools and on down divisional levels to operate in a space more condusive to their resource levels. Athletes are not going to demand lower pay via a CBA. Simply not happening. It isn't how life works.
I know it is going to hurt a lot of feelings to see a school like Boise State and Wyoming no longer play football games vs Ohio State and hope for a major upset once in 20 years type of stuff.
Life has changed. The world is changing. And college athletics is at a point now where things were forced upon them to lead to change and when we get to the end point, there will be many feelings hurt, a lot of sadness, but that is life.

@Genetics56 So why is it so worth it to you? What satisfaction is there in winning a National Championship when only 20 "teams" are even in it? Watching the G league, triple A BB and the like is already an option - why kill college sports?

@RandyR358 Honestly, in a a state like Wisconsin, it makes sense because of the economic impact. Same with like a Hawaii, Wyoming, Nebraska etc. but in states like Florida, Texas, etc not at all
