(1/2) Ambroxol was prioritised for clinical trial in people with Parkinson’s through our #iLCT programme and Cure Parkinson’s has been the impetus behind the new phase 3 ambroxol trial alongside @VAInstitute and the John Black Charitable Foundation. #ambroxolphase3

I am delighted to be leading this exciting project – the first time a drug specifically applied to a genetic cause of Parkinson’s has reached this level of trial in the #ambroxol trial @CureParkinsonsT

RAPSODI is a nationwide remote annual assessment, it can thereby be completed from anywhere with a computer and internet access. If you or anyone you know is interested in taking part, the RAPSODI team is available to assist and advise via our email rapsodi@ucl.ac.uk.

Changes in the GBA gene (which can cause #GaucherDisease), are some of the most important known risk factors for developing PD. RAPSODI is interested in understanding this link, so that we can develop better diagnostic procedures and disease management strategies for PD.
