Starting it is banned, but so is passing on it. - Exotic foods. - Autograph seeking of any kind. Controversial…but banned: -Wearing a jersey. -9/9/9 challenge. There’s no way you’re a good time. Couple guys in the modern game that I am here for and why: 1. Yordan Alvarez - pure hitter. Lefty who mashes lefties. Hits for average and power and does not strike out. Can airdrop him into any era and he rakes. 2. Parker Messick - lefty who throws strikes. Is not intimidated by any lineup. Works the corners and pitches, not throws. 3. Chandler Simpson - puts the ball in play, uses his legs to put pressure on the defense, a lost art that doesn't show up in the metrics. Causes pitchers to rush when he's on base and defenses to hurry throws. 4. Peyton Tolle - comes right at you with the hard stuff. Isn't there to dance around the at bats. Here it is, hit it. Moves quickly. Possess a world class mustache. There's a ton to love about the game in 2026, just have to know where to look.

I understand modern evolution and that to keep up, you must stay in motion. But you can't convince me year round baseball isn't terrible for the sport. Playing multiple sports enhances proprioception and quickness in ways that year round specificity cannot. Not to mention, it limits the talent pool significantly from kids who straight up cannot afford it. I hate it. Get off my lawn.
