Everyone… I’m honestly blown away. The support today has been unreal and this has grown way bigger, way faster than I ever expected. We’re selling out of most things. I’ll try to get more up it if I can. I don’t take any of this lightly. What I can promise you is this. I’m going to work my absolute tail off to deliver products that are worth it. If you need a grown-up mechanical watch…. This Seiko 5-sports SRPG29 is $241 at Kohls right now. I’ve seen these models well-priced on Amazon as well. This is an elite pickup for REAL dudes. Seiko has a cool history with Vietnam-era special operators (specifically SEALs and MACV-SOG). Check out @watchesofespion if interested. It’s basically the Toyota 4Runner of watches — Japanese craftsmanship, highly functional, classic, clean, timeless, utilitarian.

@izengolf @athenaeumbc P&V is definitely solid, but very literal which makes it a bit clunky at times. I believe Katz flows a little better, but wanted to see if anyone has read it yet.

@HolsLocker @athenaeumbc I read the one in his photo and it was painful except for short passages. There must be a better translation without people in "ecstasy" all the time, which makes no sense in English. My hopes for P&V is crushed by your post.

Lots of people don't know this but you can actually fix your attention span just by reading one long, phenomenal book again. I recommend The Brothers Karamazov.

I’ve never seen this film. I am about to correct that mistake.

I might have to acquire one of the hoodies before next winter’s paddle tennis season (any northern ball-knowers out there?)

The marijuana-esque maple leaf on the chest requires a lot of chutzpah to pull off (especially if it’s not your vibe), so I find the shorts to be a safer play. In a time where — thankfully — chest logos are going out of vogue, I do like that their new Newport polo offers a cleaner look, but with still maintains subtle differentiation with the sleeve tab.

Get to know the OG badass country club brand (I know it’s oxymoronic) BOAST court shorts are a classic that I would highly recommend for knock-around wear this summer. Super comfortable and $65 is a digestible price point.
