Protecting our borders and deporting criminal illegal aliens are essential components of our country’s security. Unfortunately, Democrats don’t agree. Republicans will continue to work to ensure that our borders are secure and that dangerous criminals are not on our streets.

Got fleeced for $8K by an audiobook narrator I found on Fiverr as well. Many same issues. And more. Sorry you experienced this. But I totally get it. Most of my experience with the small projects have been great - book cover mockups and small narration for audio clips for trailers. But I'd never again use them for big projects.

I've kept this to myself out of sheer embarrassment but have decided to share so it can possibly be avoided by others. I hired a Copy Editor before I launched my book with KDP, on Fivver. They had good reviews and were asking more $ than a few others so I thought I'm getting the quality I'm paying for. What I got back looked great, until I noticed font size inconsistencies... missing chapters, duplicate paragraphs. Y'all I cried myself to sleep so many nights before launch trying to patch my little book back together. I received an instagram message from said copy editor saying they got kicked off Fivver, but I could reach them there in the future (their bio said they were based in Nigeria). Point of the story, sorry to those I recommended Fivver to, and make better choices than I did.

@KoalaQuillHQ They don't understand because they're not writers. Like you said. That's not a license to steal and cheat their way into sales. AI is a huge issue to me. I loathe it.

@RealHeatherOB I think a big problem is that non-writers don't understand how much work good writing takes. They see a finished novel with 80K words and think "If a machine can string words together too, it must not be that hard."

This. All day, this. AI is "trained" on the backs of other work. Work created by real people. Let's maybe simmer down on the shiny new technology and give a read to those who actually have to conceive of, think, plot, write, edit, format, and otherwise produce their own work.

The enormity of what Democrats have opted for cannot be understated. No one to stop dangerous individuals from making their way into our country, and no one to catch and deport these dangerous individuals if they do make it in.
