@TheWeirdTeacher @KimAtKagan it does get easier & more manageable!!! Kids start to find their groove, tech issues iron out, you start learning all the workarounds, and you find yourself adjusting your expectations to meet reality. Hang in there, you got this! 😎

Everything about teaching like this take five times longer than normal. I'm holding tight to the idea that it'll get easier as we clear some of the tech hurdles we keep tripping over.

@WeAreTeachers Teachers pick your battles! I consider it a bonus if the student even has their webcam on. PJs are such a non-factor imo as long as they aren’t too revealing or distracting to the class. Want kids to enjoy your class? Don’t nitpick. It’s that simple. ✌️

@TheWeirdTeacher @car724 Doug (et al), I’m already 3 weeks in, middle school remote teaching only (and as you know, I also have a student teacher). I’m not gonna try to be the cheerleader that you don’t want in the first place. I will tell you though that it DOES get a little easier as each week passes.

I know some are upset that I dined indoors at a restaurant in Maryland yesterday. I felt the risk was low because the county I visited has had fewer than 800 COVID-19 cases, compared to over 33,000 cases in Philadelphia. Regardless, I understand the frustration.
