I'm blocked on all of Jonny and Saturn's accounts so I can't respond to this directly. I'm sure they will see this, though, so: Jonny, Saturn, please stop pretending you know fuck all about Internet systems. WHOIS is a purely informational database of contact details for domain names. It has nothing — nothing — to do with DNS or "how the Internet works." They are two completely different systems. Anybody with a basic level of practical experience will tell you the same thing. Adding their confusion about websites which cache WHOIS data and whether they instantly refresh, they are spreading a cargo cult level of misunderstanding about the different systems at work here and their significance. A high percentage of WHOIS records are either incorrect or out of date. They don't necessarily reflect when the domain changed ownership. These days the vast majority of these records are obfuscated due to exactly this kind of schizo retardation. Jonny, Saturn, or one of their idiot followers will likely end up harassing the random guy who sold the domain to us — oh, or maybe they will harass some other guy with the same last name and first initial. It's the 'Adam Tahir' situation all over again. The US government requires non-obfuscated contact information for .us domains, though, which is the only reason this stupid issue could be raised in the first place. Jonny/Saturn, after you get done with the Khan Academy course on basic Internet technology, I would like an explanation for why the CIA had the domain for sale for at least ten years if they were saving it to give to their half-German operative, Adam Tahir. As I told Jonny before he blocked me on his most recent alt - it seems like he's too stupid to question any of his own assumptions or consider whether he's wrong, so he goes through life turning every notion that tumbles through his vacant mind into an obsession. They probably don't actually believe a lot of what they've said, but they justify lying with prior conclusions that they're incapable of questioning. #AmericanCommunistParty
