This May Day weekend, ACP Illinois and @ACP_Wisconsin did more than just march in remembrance of those who fought before us. We took things a step further, honoring their legacy by serving the people with concrete action: restoring a natural area for our neighbors to enjoy, and standing shoulder to shoulder with workers of USW Local 7-1 who’ve been illegally locked out of the BP oil refinery in Whiting, Indiana.
The Internet is real life. It needs real infrastructure, real energy, and real workers.
Who benefits from pretending it isn’t? Its owners, and the hegemony that wants to rule from behind the curtain.

Los Angeles has a trash problem, and sadly, schools are not spared. Sidewalks have become dumping grounds in many neighborhoods and city services are struggling to keep up. The American Communist Party has returned to RFK Community School to clear the sidewalks of trash. ACP cadre picked up wrappers, boxes, bottles, and even removed biohazards such as rotting food and used needles.
This work in Los Angeles is an example of the growing number of city residents who take initiative to step in where city officials have failed.
