ACP Washington celebrated Victory Day with the local Russian community in Seattle with the laying of flowers at the Garden of Remembrance. In the evening, chapter members helped set up the main event and joined in the performances of the songs: Katyusha, Smuglianka, and Cossacks in Berlin.

In collaboration with the national Victory Day Organizing Committee, ACP NY hosted a major Victory Day celebration in Brighton Beach, heart of the largest post-Soviet community in the United States. We honored the legacy of the Soviets and Americans who united to crush fascism.

251 years after the first battle of the American Revolution, ACP Mass hiked 10 miles on the Battle Road Trail from Lexington to Concord. In 2026 as in 1775, common people around the world struggle for a decent living against the greed of empire. The ACP stands with them.

This May Day weekend, ACP Illinois and @ACP_Wisconsin did more than just march in remembrance of those who fought before us. We took things a step further, honoring their legacy by serving the people with concrete action: restoring a natural area for our neighbors to enjoy, and standing shoulder to shoulder with workers of USW Local 7-1 who’ve been illegally locked out of the BP oil refinery in Whiting, Indiana.

The Internet is real life. It needs real infrastructure, real energy, and real workers. Who benefits from pretending it isn’t? Its owners, and the hegemony that wants to rule from behind the curtain. Los Angeles has a trash problem, and sadly, schools are not spared. Sidewalks have become dumping grounds in many neighborhoods and city services are struggling to keep up. The American Communist Party has returned to RFK Community School to clear the sidewalks of trash. ACP cadre picked up wrappers, boxes, bottles, and even removed biohazards such as rotting food and used needles. This work in Los Angeles is an example of the growing number of city residents who take initiative to step in where city officials have failed.

The American South has a forgotten history of working class struggle. From organizing sharecroppers to fighting the Klan, Southern communists once built real worker power. This May Day, the ACP marched in Columbia, SC to revive that tradition.

On May 1, VA and MD chapters of the ACP set up a table at the AFL-CIO House of Labor in DC. We offered communist books and pamphlets and engaged with the crowd who had gathered for the concert marking International Workers' Day.
